i dunno. anyways they keep going on about movies beating spiderman3 and yet still, its spidey that keeps getting mentioned. pretty sure this cropped up with the 3rd pirates of the carribean too....

as for the oscar remark subrick, ur saying that like it'd be a joke if he got it! by the sounds of things, and from the bits i've seen, it seems as if alive or dead he deserves it.

Fuck, if you have no friends and that's your reason for not going, go by yourself! It's dark, and people will only laugh at you while you find your seat, after that they will forget that you have no friends and will solely be thinking about Batman kicking arse.

I think I'm going to be the last person in the world to see this movie. I couldn't be bothered to fight with he crowds as they gushed over Ledger's performance on opening weekend, plus I've been put off the movie by the press constantly referring to it as "The Dark Knight: Starring Heath Ledger". Everyone knows that Nolan has based it on the graphic novels, and he's not the sort of director to stray very far from the subject matter, as the film has obviously been a labour of love for him, so I'm guessing that the movie isn't going to be "Batman vs The Joker". The main character in the movie is arguably Harvey Dent, and how his character compares and contrasts with that of Bruce Wayne/Batman, with The Joker merely being a catalyst for the story as it unfolds. I'm sure The Joker is a fine performance for Heath to leave as his legacy, and it IS a shame that such a talent should die so young, but that doesn't mean he stars in his final film. Aaron Eckhart is once again not getting the credit he deserves as one of the best actors around today.

That said, I'm going to see it at the Imax on Thursday.
