supporting spain cos of liverpool players... even tho they put northern irelands "hopes" qualifying to rest, but feel they are too lazy to win would settle for cezch republic winning.

Every Liverpool fan I know is supporting Spain because of Torres, etc. It's the same for me supporting Holland/Portugal.

Yeah, the Portugal games been alot better. Much more attacking play and a few good chances.

Thought Ronaldo would have scored with that free kick, was gutted when it hit the post.

Italy's got a really good chance, I'm sure they'll be close.

The Portugal game was good, I dont think anyones got as much attacking power as them.

They hit hit both posts, the bar, had a goal disallowed and still won 2-0.

Comfort yourself in the fact that England is WAY better than Belgium, who got kicked out a looooooong time ago.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to see how well Italy do without Canavaro. Holland have a lot of good attacking players in Van Nistelrooy, Robben, Van Persie, etc. should be one of the games of the tournament.

on paper holland are great, mayb they can fin form and take advantage of the world champs weaknesses. italy are more attack than defend so we could be in for a goal fest and hopefully the 1st upset of the tournament

I'm interested what Austria can do tonight. They actually got a 0-3 lead against Holland in a friendly match, but eventually Holland won 4-3. But Holland kicked Croatia butt with 3-0 aswell. So I'm wondering what the match is gonna be like.

It was a good match, Austria played well after about 30 minutes and were the better team from then on. Unfortunetly they were already 1-0 down after 4 minutes when they gave away a penalty.

Betting wise i'm happy, put everything on Croatia and greened up with 15 minutes to go

Germany wil probably win.

half time, 2-0 to spain. they dont seem to use torres much, he has said himself, spain dont play his style of football, too slow, too many touches. it is however, villa's style of play. from a liverpool pov, i'd love to see how villa would play for the kop... it is ANOTHER spanyard tho... we have too many :S

I'd let Ronaldo go if we could bring in Villa, although I think he'll go to Liverpool in time for next season to partner Torres.

If he does Liverpool will be right up there challenging for the title imo.

Yeah, my mate whos a Liverpool fans seems to agree they wont have the cash to bring in Villa, they can hardly afford Garreth Barry.

Just heard a rumour that Villa might be off to Chelsea, although it seems like everyone is Chelsea bound according to all the rumours following Scolari getting the Chelsea job.
