Smacktalks Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 IGN recently posted a list of 10 new superstars they'd like to see appear in WWE SvR'09, none of which have appeared in the SvR Series so far. Heres IGN's top 10 new Legends: Bruno Sammartino Randy Savage Sid Justice/Sid Vicious/Psycho Sid The Ultimate Warrior Yokozuna Lex Luger The Mountie Razor Ramon Harley Race Vader That's IGN's take on it, but which 10 Legends would you add that haven't previously been in an SvR game? These can be WWF/E, WCW or ECW Legends. Quote
Aero Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 warrior (unlikely... very unlikely hahaha) bushwackers .... hahaha ok, yeah, i'm not too bothered, but it would be nice to see alot more new faces in the legend roster. think i just want ppl with gimmicks, legends that stand out, seein how they've already done most of the BIG legends b4. Quote
ALL STAR Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Sting Vampiro Rick Stiener Jeff Jarret Wouldnt mind seeing some older gimmicks of some wreslters aswell Quote
Aero Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 i keep saying it, mayb they will listen - ministry taker! hell, the ministry just :S Quote
ALL STAR Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Well with the Legends game they better have ministry taker and masked Kane Quote
phil Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I would like to see Vader (WCW), Shane Douglas (ECW) and Sycho Sid (WWF) in as Legends. Quote
Subrick Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I wouldn't exactly consider The Mountie a legend. Quote
phil Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Anybody who has defeated Bret Hart is legendary in their own right. Thus, if The Mountie can be mentioned, then Owen Hart should be put in the game. Quote
Nemo Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 warrior (unlikely... very unlikely hahaha) ... why? he let jakks makes thousands of warrior figures in their classic superstars series, why not let em put him in their game? Quote
Aero Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 he fell out with them over the way he was represented in 1 game and demanded he got removed. they left his image in the game and he sued them for many many moneys... dunno if he was successful tho. but he did vow, even on the launch of his first classic figure that he would not be putting himself into a game made by thq/jakks or who ever is actually responsible. he then allowed his character to be used in legends of wrestling instead. wweHHHthegame Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I would like to see these legends in SVR09: Owen hart. Scott Hall. Bret hart. Yokozuna. Mick foley. Buddy rogers. Pat patterson. Kevin nash. Paul bearer. Vader. Quote
Smacktalks Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 I think they should include Yokozuna this year, i'm suprised he hasn't been included so far. Quote
SamoanWay Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Here Is My List of 10 Wanted Legends of SVR 2009: 1. Big Bossman (Prison Guard): The reason i want him in there, because, he serves the people with law, order, and justice at his side, not to mention with his trusty nightstick and ball and chain, And if anyone crosses his way, they'll be serving HARD TIME. 2. Crush (Hawaiian Surfer): The reason for him is this, this was the only time he showed the fans his love for them. And that, this character was of a hawaiian surf boy. And people would stand right by him when in danger. 3. Ricky Steamboat (The Dragon): The reason for him is this, He fought in many matches, with Roddy Piper, Macho Man, Stone Cold (then Stunning Steve) and so on. He truly is one of the all-time Hall of Famers. 4. Nicholai Volkoff (Soviet Champion): This is the reason why I want him, He is one of the all time hated wrestlers we love to hate. Not only that, he riles up the crowd with the singing of the now defunct Soviet National Anthem. And also, he was Tag-Team champions with The Iranian Champion the Iron Shiek. Though, An Actual Russian, He Wasn't!!! 5. Lex Luger (American Hero): The best reason is this, When Yokozuna was champion, he was the most hated man in the industry at that time, not only was he World Champion, he beat the likes of The Hitman Bret Hart, and The Hulkster Hulk Hogan, Though it was by outside distraction that made him won the matches. He was the most hated "Foreigner" in the business at the time. It was then that Lex Luger with Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa "The March King", came out and accepted the challenge made by Yokozuna to see if he can slam, the 600-Pound Champion. And he did, Incredibly. He also was teamed up by late Legend, The British Bulldog for a time. This is why I like to see him in there. 6. Tatanka (Native American): This why I want Him in there, He is by far, the most well-known Native American superstar in the business, in this generation. Though he never won the big Belt. He never stopped showing his culture in the ring when competing. 7. The Ultimate Warrior: The reason is this, He has done it all. He won the World Title in Wrestlemania VI. He beat Hogan, He beat Macho Man, He Beat Jake Roberts. He Beat Triple H (Then Hunter Hearst Helmsley). He was Intercontinental Champion. What Else Can be Said about him, Besides his downfall in the later years to come. 8. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (As American Can Get): The best reason of all, Though He never won any championship belts, He was King of the Ring in one the late 1980's edition. But That's It. But That's not the point. He is by far the most well-beloved Legend/Hall of Famer to date. Who cares if he never won a belt in his life. He is the Common American Hero, The man who stands for the local, the down-trodden, the poor. The rich may be the most hated people we know. But he is as American can get. Waving Old Glory at his side, holding his trusty 2x4, who said they need a chair or a lead pipe, when you can just get one from your own tree in your front yard on the sidewalk. And yelling out,"HOOO", just to get the crowd standing. It is said, that if you lost but fought your best, then you've won the fight. And he is that. That's why I like to see him In there. 9. Rick Martel (The Model): Reason, This, Everyone may hate him because he's like a narcissist to himself, making himself beautiful and smelling so wonderful with his Weapon, His perfume "Arrogance". From Cocoa Beach, Fl. You wonder, How a man so perfect in his build be a superstar instead of a model. One thing: He is a model, but also a superstar in one. His feuds with Jake Roberts, and Tatanka, and Razor Ramon are things that made him one of the most hated legends of this business. Let alone, being Tag-Team champion with Tito Santana as Strike Force and some others. This is why I like to have him. 10. Verne Gagne (Promoter, Superstar, Owner of one of the most prized Wrestling Organizations): Reason, This, He is the best well-known Promoter, Superstar, Owner all-in-one of the AWA. He turned some superstars into Legends that we now know: Hulk Hogan, Sgt. Slaughter, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, The Legion Of Doom, Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig, Jerry The King Lawler, Kerry Von Erich, Shawn Michaels And Marty Jannetty, Jesse The Body Ventura, And Baron von Raschke. He Turned Them into Hall of Famers that we now know. Not only That, He was 10-time AWA Champion, He made some feuds with Other Legends. He Worked his own money with his only Promotion He organized. This is why I Like To see Him In There. These Are the 10 Legends I like To See In SVR 2009. Quote
phil Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Very well done list, SamoanWay. However, you're off on Duggan not winning ANY titles his entire career. He's a former 1-time WCW United States Champion and a former 1-time WCW World Television Champion and in addition has held various titles from all over the USA. Quote
SamoanWay Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 (edited) Oh Well, At Least I Did The History For The Reasons of Why I want Them In There. I Actually Forgot to put one more Person In There. Extra: Arn Anderson (The Enforcer): My Reason Is This, He picks a body part and works it over until his opponent can't use anymore. He was also Tag-Team champion with his, KAYFABE, Brother, Ole Anderson. And last but not least, One of the fearsome "Four Horsemen". Edited June 20, 2008 by SamoanWay Quote
bigpoppn Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Yeah, that'll happen. In that case, I want Benoit in. Quote
