Variety reports that Universal has signed a deal to turn BioShock into a movie, apparently it'll be directed by Gore Verbinski that directed Pirates of the Caribbean.

also, it was jonny depp and his demanding that jack sparrow get potrayed the way he did, without that the movies would have ben bland and shit.... i'll hold judgement on this one.

Bioshock had a bland story ANYWAY, but the celebration of Bioshocks narrative was more that it wasnt forced or linear. While you could go some way to suggesting that at the cinema, its a little more restrictive as a medium and I dare say itll be done more commercially, with a storyline and in your face sentimentalitys.
