steffhardy Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I read a tutorial about how to add custom music and titantrons to svr 2008. I burnt the new ISO to dvd and put it in my ps2. The svr 2008 logo appears and it says "loading", but after a few seconds the game freezes. Can anybody help me? Quote
Smacktalks Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 What are you using to burn the iso? If you've followed the guide correctly, then it might just be the dvd. The best thing is to burn the iso at the lowst possible speed. All the games I've burnt at normal or fast speeds have began to load but always ended up crashing unless I burnt it at the lowest possible speed. Quote
steffhardy Posted May 14, 2008 Author Posted May 14, 2008 (edited) Now I'm very sure I'm burning wrong. My dvd supports writing speed 16x but my programm (i tried nero7 & dvddecrypter) says it only supports 2,4x & 4x. Could it be that my dvd burner isn't good enough? The strange thing is that i've already burnt simple backups with 2,4x, so why isn't it working with my edited version? Edited May 14, 2008 by steffhardy Quote
Smacktalks Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Your DVD may support 16x but you'll have to check your dvd's to see what speed they support. Are they DVD+R or -R? Was this the guide you followed? http://smacktalks.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21909 Quote
steffhardy Posted May 14, 2008 Author Posted May 14, 2008 (edited) Yes, i followed the guide and no errors appeared. But i can only choose writing speed 2,4x & 4x. On the DVD it says DVD+R 16xRecording Speed. Edited May 14, 2008 by steffhardy Quote
Smacktalks Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Have you managed to play them before when you've burnt them on DVD+R's? I've only ever managed to get DVD-R's to play. Every time I've used DVD+R's or RW's it never reads them. Quote
steffhardy Posted May 14, 2008 Author Posted May 14, 2008 Like i said, it worked with ordinary backups Quote
Smacktalks Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I've just had a quick Google on it and it seems that DVD-R's are the way to go, burning at 1x Speed if possible. As for which kind, I use Ritek DVD-R's and they work fine when burned at 1 or 2x. Are you using Swap Magic or is your PS2 chipped? Quote
steffhardy Posted May 14, 2008 Author Posted May 14, 2008 I'm using a memory card exploit with cogswap Quote
Smacktalks Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I've just had a look into CogSwap and it's simillar to Swap Magic, only thing I can suggest is to try burning an original copy of the game and seeing if it works. If it does, then you know it's a problem with what you've edited. If it doesn't load, the problems with CogSwap. Sorry I can't be of more help. Quote
steffhardy Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 Do you know the link to a step by step tutorial? Quote
DRAVEN Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 This problem also happens if ur file formats are to big ie music sample rate's... when the game starts to load then freezes that means a file error.. also dont burn at full speed.. burn at slowest its less likly something will go wrong.. Quote
