Well I finally got round to watching some films...

I never bothered watching Batman Returns when it was released for some reason, probably due to the fact that I expected it to be just another Batman film, which it was... but I really prefered it to any other Batman film.

It was a lot darker than the others, but I prefered this "remake" version of how he came to be Batman and now can't wait for The Dark Knight.

Anyway to follow on from Batman I decided to continue down the comic themed movies route and watched X-Men for the first time, as i'd never watched any of the films previously. Again it was a nice surprise and I shall probably watch the other 2 some time this week.

So, the point in this post? not much really, apart from asking which other comic-movies are worth watching, other than Spiderman (great), Hulk (shite) and Superman Returns (Never got the story in that, seemed a pretty pointless film).

superman WAS shit. as is Xmen 3. you have to see iron man.

i liked hell boy and am lookin forward to hell boy 2, and league of extraordinary gentlemen is worth a look.

I seen LOEG ages ago, wasn't the best film but it was better than Superman..

I wasn't too interested in the Hell Boy trailer, but if you recommend it i'll give it ago.

I would say Hell Boy is a must watch, its really really good.

Seeing as you liked batman i would say watch batman mask of the phantasm purely an awesome film.

oh, if ur into anime style movies, look for doctor strange as well, was decent... the invincible iron man anime released last year was a bit piss tho.

fantastic 4 was watchable, but not great, however the sequel, rise of the silver surfer was super shit. weirdly tho, silver surfer himself was cool and as such i'm looking forward to a silver surfer spinoff movie.

I thought The Punisher was alright, not great by any stretch though. Sin City is also the bee's knees, but everyone has seen it.

Apart from that, you've probably already seen all the other good comic book movies but not realised it. 300, the Blade trilogy, Constantine, the Men in Black movies, The Crow, V for Vendetta, and even old school classics like The Rocketeer and The Shadow.

Oh and yes, The Toxic Avenger movies are awesome, some far more so than others.

Yeah I know, I just didn't want to go off on a tangent for once. I was trying to save words and not say "Blade 1 and 2, but not 3", so for the sake of putting a less than average movie in the list, I thought it was worth it. That however is all wasted now, as I've spent three sentences explaining myself, thanks Aero.
