CS Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Former light heavyweight champion, Chuck Liddell, has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming main event fight against Rashad Evans at UFC 85 in London, England, on June 7 because of an injury sustained during training, according to MMARated.com's website. Well this sucks, I was looking foreward to it. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 This does suck. It was supposed to be Shogun-Liddell, but Shogun had to pull out due to a knee injury. Now Liddell has to pull out as well. A possible mega-fight is now nixed and this event is left with nothing. Real shame for the UFC. Quote
CS Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 Last I heard they were thinking about replacing him with James Irvin(guy who knocked out Houston Alexander in 8 seconds). Quote
Heart Breaker Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 James Irvin is no slouch, but he's no Chuck Liddell either. Here's a pic of Chuck's injury for anyone interested. Ouch... Quote
