ok, so where i live i could only get 2mb internet speed right? then on 31/03/08 BT hit 99% of the northern ireland excanges with ADSL MAX, a new system which gives greater speeds and yes, i'm withoin the 99% of exchanges upgraded.... ok? so anyone wanna guess what my new max speed is?

i fucking hate BT. also, the only LLU providers over here on our exchange is AOL who still offer the same speed, and talk talk... who again, offer the same speed. i want o2 or sky to take up an LLU slot but they wont get their fingers out, the line is LLU active for fuck sake, so no excuse.

Aero, ring them up, tell them the speed you are getting is unacceptable for the price you are paying, and demand they send an engineer out to check your line.

I spent months pissing about with them on the phone listening to their shit, till one day I said fuck it and got angry with them on the phone and demanded they sent an engineer out or i'd cancel their services. The following monday they sent out an engineer who then spent 15 mintues up at the local exchange, swapped some equipment round, and voila - my speeds increased by about 5x.

PS - I was getting 1mb, after the engineer swapped shit around at the exchange I've boosted to getting a max of around 5mb. Just ran a test and it was 4.3mb.
