Check this shit out. A guide on how to make a video projector, using an LCD moniter and an overhead projector (those big old school light projectors).

Yea, did this last year (laaaate)

Works fine but you gotta be REALLY careful with the LCD monitor, that you dont fuck up the connections that are incredibly easy to do so.
