Small Update

As previously reported, officials from Midway attended last night's live TNA iMPACT!. After the event was over several members of the TNA roster including but not limited to Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Jay Lethal, AJ Styles, LAX and former TNA wrestler Senshi aka Low Ki (on cruches) all met back at the Double Tree Hotel to show off the title. Members of the video game media were there as well and were given free range to play the title as well as ask questions to any of the wrestlers invloved.

For those wondering Senshi will still be on the game roster even though he is gone from TNA. He did tons of work helping to develope the title so TNA is allowing him to stay in. Christopher Daniels is staying in as well. No word yet on Curry Man but we will keep you posted.

At this point only 14 wrestlers were playable in the 70% completed version of the game. Those wrestlers included Jeff Jarrett, Sting, Homicide, Hernandez, AJ Styles, Christian, Kurt Angle, Abyss, Scott Steiner, Eric Young, Chris Sabin, Rhino, Christopher Daniels and Booker T. The finals roster will have 25 guys. I can confirm that Jay Lethal, Petey Williams, Alex Shelley and Robert Roode will be a part of the final roster however the other 7 are unkown at this time. The game will also have 2-4 attire choices for each wrestler. Sting will have his current look, his new look from Bound for Glory 06 and his 90's look from WCW.

The gameplay in the title is being priased very heavely. It was described to me as "a cross between No Mercy, Smackdown and Mortal Kombat". I am told that the finishing moves and taunts in particular look amazing.

The title is due out on 6/25 at this point but from what I am told one more delay is expected. The title will be out by August at the latest.

Midway is also already hard at work on a sequal that could be released in less than a year from now. Midway plans on adding around 15 guys to the updated roster, new match types as well as upgrading the system from 4 guys on screen at once to 6.

IMO 25 playable is fine, as long as they can deliver proper movesets, animations, and good game play. I'd much rather have fun playing with only 25 different guys, then bored shitless laying with 60 + different guys and girls.
