Great inter view includes create a finisher, inproved tag team custom music for ps3 now, ITS FOR PS2 AGAIN. But im happy i might get the full experience with a 360 come april 22.And also they said they are making a complately new ai and having a tag team season. AWESOME i like THQ's promises. They also have some other people other than yukes. Quote
jitz Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 ...they announced the exact same game yet again. They didn't even try to hide it. Here's a run down of the entire bullshit interview, whom apparently IGN employed a 9 year old to hold "Wow", "Awesome", "I'm the Playstation Team guy". Fuck wit. 1. We're keeping everything the same, ecept we're adding a few features to tag team wrestling. Now even though tag team wrestling is shit in WWE, it's essentially a superstar profile for tag teams, with a few new moves, so it's easy to implement. 2. We refuse to admit that our commentary is complete shit, we might make it a little better, but no promises because three commentary teams is a lot. So rather than have one good one, we need three shit ones. 3. Create a Finisher will be a lot like Create an Entrance. You will get a few options handed to you, but it's all pretty set in what you can do, so you can never really create what you want to create. 4. We're changing the Story mode yet again because every year we fuck it up, sp we're trying the route we did years back by having a very short story mode, but that didn't work, so this year it will be for only a few people. Forget about story mode'ing with mid carders, you're dreaming. 5. We're rewriting AI, but with the exact same gameplay engine unlying it all, you really won't notice anything different apart from Undertaker not doing high flying moves. Oh and he'll do set up moves for finishers, which isn't artificial intelligence, because he's not thinking, it's a script. But we're passing it off to you as us working harder because it makes your readers thinking that we're not going to fuck them out of cash all over again. 6. We'll reanimate another 5 moves, but they'll still be the jerky Boston Crab from SmackDown 1 in the game. If you bought this THQ bullshit interview of 'new' features, you're an idiot. Quote
ALL STAR Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Yeah i agree aswell Yukes is trying to cover up the mess they made last year with some new features but they wont fix the problems the game already has. Plus the graphics arnt impressive its just a small upgrade over last year, and they still look like action figures with them all totally ripped, Impact dosnt do that so why should svr. Also whats up with the lighting in the game it looks really poor the game looks very desaturated. The game really needs better textures for the wrestlers. They dont understand the game is flawed, take the reversal system online strong grapples are pointless as they get reversed 90% of the time. The whole engine needs to be rebuilt rather than keeping it on life support by adding new things. Quote
Smacktalks Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Ledesma: So that means that Undertaker is not doing diving attacks when it's not appropriate. It means that Undertaker is doing moves that set up his Old School, and he knows that he has the Old School and he knows that it's one of his best moves. So he has a sequence that sets up those types of moves. So what you'll see is you'll see the actual real life Superstars start to use their actual strategies, their actual moves to set up a lot of their personality, a lot of the actual moves that they do in real life programming. That's another cool thing that we're offering with our new AI engine. //Begin Code > Move 1: Irish Whip to Trubuckle > Move 2: Old School //End Code Sound's good... Quote

And I stand by saying the screen caps look pretty good, more specifically Orton. Quote
wraslinfreak Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 nice, the vid had the twist of fate/swanton bomb tag team move, i cant wait to buy this game and then get severely disappointed after playing for an hour! Quote
Sunny Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Cory Ledesma says he created the only game with three commentating teams. He gives so many excuses in that interview it's not even funny. So, wow, they added the feature of importing music into the PS3 and 2 or 3 finishers for the tag-team division. He even comments on noting that superstars that r not famous r not gonna be emphasized. OK, so, we have people like Snitsky with 3 moves in the game as oppossed to incredible mid-carders such as Jimmy Wang Yang, The Londricks, Kofi Kingston etc. that actually know how to wrestle. Not including Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas was a dumb-ass idea in SvR 2008. Who wants to bet Haas isn't gonna make it. So what, he's character in WWE is compared to that of a Japanese 5 year-old wrestler, u still have his athletcism and credibility. Whether u don't watch HEAT, they contribute a lot to RAW's populaity. Cory said we take in criticism and make room for improvement. What improvement. I still see the shitty-ass gameplay with the same motions from SmackDown: Know Your Role. They have like 5 or ultimate submissions and they are really pround of that. The graphics look shitty as fuck compared to TNA iMpact still. This is what I said last time: Instead of taking in one year to amplify WWE merchandise, actually LISTEN to what the fans have to say and work three years on it and release a game we all look forward to. U put all these factors in and that makes a great game? No, all u get is cow shit. They think they work hard but, they should actually improve it. Every year it's the same shit with one new match type. I'm so fuckin' tired of this. Quote
jitz Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Hopefully, fingers crossed, TNA Impact! is a good game. If it's not, it's a sad day for wresting videogames. Quote
wraslinfreak Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 hopefully with 2 wrestling games coming out this year, one of them will be at least decent Quote
