Due to the fact that not having a tv in my room at the minute i've decided to probably go for this one unless anyone can find a better option.

I recently discovered yeterday I had a lapse of judgement when buying my TV last month. I went and picked up a 42" Olevia LCD TV and last night my brother and I were going to connect my surround sound, but the TV dosen't have any composite outputs, so essentially we were pissing up a rope and I took the shit out of my entertainment center for nothing. Oh well, we took the speakers from a stereo I don't use and that just fine for me since I'm npot a big surround sound whore.

So yeah, moral of the story is to make sure you pay attention to what the TV has when you buy it. Now I got a 5-disc dvd changer/surround sound system that is worthless.

Well I went for the RUSH OUT AND BUY TV NOW option, i'm now sitting here typing this on my pc that is connected to the 40" Samsung shown above. However there were issues which I shall post in a bit as the sheer size and brightness of this monitor is blinding me at preset.

Plus Point: My cat fucking loves the big box.

Bad Point: My cat jumped on top and fell in the box, is now trapped.

lmao

+5 Bizangs to Matt.

-5 Bizangs for Paul for trapping an innocent animal.

On a side note, damn you people and your cheaper TVs.

Paul I've got that TV (but non glossy version). It's fucking awesome.

Factory settings are shit, change the colour settings to movie mode or something like that, have a fiddle or you WILL get blinded.

I remember when I first turned mine on, it was painfully bright lol. Make sure you turn off movie-plus mode, that causes motion blur whilst watching tv/movies. Also obviously turn on game mode for gaming.

You've basically picked one of the very best TV's on the market at the moment, good choice. It's a steal at

Joe if you'd of posted that 24 hours earlier I may have still had the tv, however I took it back yesterday afternoon.

When I ordered it I did the reserve and collect option, only to get to the store to find out they'd sold it.

They ffered me an ex-display one they had in stock which was slightly scratched on the back and a small one on top and I took it as they said they wouldn't be able to order one in before the offer finished.

Anyway I got back and realised it didn't have a power cable, so I rang Curry's to bitch about that and the fact they sold the tv I'd reserved hoping to get some of my money back. Yet they did nothing, all they said was "sorry sir but the store is now closed and we cant do anything now we've got your money".

So I decided to wait until yesterday and take it back, although I had been thinking of keeping it and your post may have led me to do so...

So i'm now looking for a good deal again if anyones got any, although I aint found the same tv for the same price or less :(

I've been advised to drop the 1080p versions though and go for the normal HD Ready tv's and then buy a PS3 with the money i'm saving, which I'm kinding leaning towards doing now.
