Subrick Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 (edited) On the night Mark Coleman was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, the former UFC heavyweight champion and Pride Grand Prix winner announced he is returning to the Octagon and his first fight will be against Brock Lesnar. Both Lesnar and Coleman are former national wrestling champions. Their fight is scheduled for UFC 87, which takes place on August 9th from Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Coleman tells UFC.com, "I'm gonna dedicate my life to this. The fans want to see me. I'm going to pay my dues. I'm going to do the best I can. He's a beast. He's an animal. Don't bet the house against me. I'm going to bring something for Brock Lesnar." Coleman's fight with Lesnar at UFC 87 will be the first of a four-fight deal he signed this weekend. Heart Breaker Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Subrick. An opponent being announced in MMA is not a spoiler. I don't know how you could even include the word spoiler in this. Remember, when you're in the sports forum, try to remember you're not talking about pre-determined results like the WWE. kthx. Quote
Fozy Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I think whoever watched UFC 82 should know this. Quote
The Don Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 When I herd this was going to be in Minnesota, I got on the phone and started the "Hay wanna goto UFC in August?" calls. Quote

I did that because I thought that if I didn't, then Don would jump on my ass. And besides, some people might not want to know who Lesnar's facing at the PPV. Edited March 4, 2008 by Subrick Quote
The Don Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 It was announced live on UFC... I'm sure it's been posted on UFC.com too. Use your head. Quote
Subrick Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Well, I didn't order the PPV and I don't go on their site a lot. Quote
Fozy Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 why wouldn't people want to know his opponent? Seriously, just go back to pretending you know things about wrestling. Quote

The whole point of buying a UFC pay per view is knowing who's going to fight who at the event. Why would I not want to know who is fighting who? It makes no sense whatsoever. I love Anderson Silva. He's a great fighter with devastating KO power. But if he's fighting a guy like Travis Lutter, I'm not going to order the event. Because Lutter bores the living hell out of me. I don't order pay per views because one of my favorite fighters is fighting. It's the fight that matters. Seriously Subrick, use your head man. They run advertisements during all UFC programming about who's fighting who. I'd have to avoid the UFC altogether for months to not know who Lesnar is fighting. Quote
