Smacktalks Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 JEEZ!! I thought the Sid Vicious video was the worst i'd ever seen but the video of Eduaro breaking his leg today is worse imo, his whole foots hanging off! Sky didn't even show the replays due to the graphic nature of it, you can see his leg coming out of his sock :x Even though i'm a United fan I wouldn't wish this on anyone, I hope he can make a comeback but you'd have to doubt it. Edit: Someone did put a video of it up on Youtube from a forgien channel, but Youtube have now pulled all the videos due to copyright issues. The one below has stills which look just as bad. Quote
Subrick Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 (edited) Hi, I'm Eduardo da Silva, and this is my Scarred story. Edited February 23, 2008 by Subrick Quote
wraslinfreak Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) holy f*ck, that was baaaaad, i think Martin Taylor did that on purpose, he was f*ckin smiling after he did it Edited February 24, 2008 by wraslinfreak Quote
Subrick Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 That looked disgusting. That ranks right up there with the leg breaks of Sid Vicious and Joe Theismann. Quote
Trips Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 He will never recover to a shade of his former form, after Alan Smiths break he hasn't returned to the form he shown before. I only broke my fibula and it's never been the same. P.s... Henriks was the worst by far, running at full pace. Quote

I only broke my fibula and it's never been the same. P.s... Henriks was the worst by far, running at full pace. bullshit. theres still hope for him, larson is still fucking excellent, and look at cisse! broke both his legs (or the same one twice) came back after 5 months n he's still quick as ever, never a clinical finisher, all he had was speed and he's still got it. Quote
Smacktalks Posted February 27, 2008 Author Posted February 27, 2008 Eduardo's brake was right on the ankle though, I think that'd be hard to heal as quickly. I thought he'd be out for at least a year, but Arsenal made a press conference to say he'll only be out for around 9 months. Quote
Aero Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 im not saying he'll be back in 5 months, my point was he could easily return and play at his best. he's only 25 too (his Bday was apparently monday, gay or what?) so theres plenty of hope for him like. ...or they could rush him back, play him for like 17 seconds in the european championships n watch him injure himself... hahaha Owen, what a twat!!!) Bullshit. You cant even begin to compare Larssons break to Eduardos, which is why I didn't and instead will make an educated comparison to Alan Smiths break because the breaks were extremely similar. Both broke both their legs and disclocated their ankle, very different from most breaks (like Larssons) because not only does the leg have to heal and muscle mass rebuilt but also they have to work on the ankle. He will most probably (like Smith) forget simple movements of his ankle joint like rolling it. This takes months of rehabilitation to correct properly because of the strong possibility a limp can occur if it's not. The fact is that Alan Smith was out for 12 months and he only suffered a break in one place, not two like Eduardo has. If Wenger really thinks hes going to be back to competitive running in 9 months then he's in dream land. Now, Alan Smith is shit and a waste of time and wages really (and I consider Smith to be one of my favourite United players of all time) and it's extremely likely that Eduardo will go the same way and this is just the physical side not even taking into account the chance of depression and self doubt, loss of confidence on the pitch and when approaching challenges e.t.c. P.s...Cisse never had 'it', he is and always was fucking shit. That's why he plays in Ligue 1. Quote
Aero Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 alan smith is a tool tho, he's never been fantastic n he's ur favorite utd player? shut up, he's worthy of being in a top team, i'll give u that, but utd have far better players ahead of him. also, wrong as it was, i did kinda laugh at HOW he got his leg broke... until i realised how serious it was like. Quote
Trips Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 He wasn't one of my favourite united players because of his abilities, he was my favourite united player because of the effort and passion he puts into every game (I know Thoms a fan aswell). Pretty much the same as why Dirk Kuyt for Liverpool is alot of scousers favourite player really, absolutely fucking shit and couldn't score in a brothel but works hard. There's more to it than how "fantastic" they are you know? Thats why players like Anelka move and will continue to move clubs for the rest of their career, because no matter how good he is (and he is fucking good) he doesnt give a toss about the club hes playing for and so no fan embraces him. Aero Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 i dont know a single liverpool fan who likes kuyt, he's complete and utter shit, what kind of striker rarely steps foot in the box? alan smith has no redeming factors to me, he always seemed like a bit of a yob, im not sure im basing that on anything, but he just seems kinda scum like to me, all personal opinion tho, but from that point of view, and the fact that he's not the best footballer, he just doesnt do it for me. Quote
System of a Daan Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 When Kuyt still played in the Netherlands he was one of the best strikers in the whole competition, but I have to admit, I don't think he can show his best in the Premier League. But his passion for soccer and his hard work surely have to get some admiration even from the Liverpool fans? Quote
Aero Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 he tries, i'll give him that, but he's just not good in the premier, granted before he actually played for them i thought, liverpool have made a cracking wee signing, but he just seems soooooo clumsy and never gets in the box. he can hold up well, and sure, he's starting to assist, which is good, but i dont rate him as a striker, he'd be more a winger to me. infact, babbel os more of a striker these days. Quote
Trips Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Lets be fair, the Dutch league is at best average. Quote
bigpoppn Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Ever tried watching the Belgian league? It sucks. Quote
Smacktalks Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 Ever tried watching the Belgian league? It sucks. Nope and thats why I'd agree with Trips, I'm a United fan and Smith was one of my favourite players at the club for his passion and effort. The only downside was his temper, especially at Newcastle. He seems to get booked in pretty much every game. Quote
Trips Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 If you were at Newcastle, wouldn't you be angry too! Quote
Aero Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 its his temper than makes me think of him as a thug tho, thats why i dislike him so much. lmao, newcastle are a disaster this season. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Let's not be stupid. Alan Smith is at best a Championship Striker in disguise as a Premiership Midfielder. He is pants. Christian Dailly can run the whole match and show passion but it dont stop him being a pile of shit. Quote
