Zombie Movies

I am a HUGE fan of the Zombie genre and was wondering if anyone could suggest any good zombie media.

Well, list what you've seen and I can fill in the gaps. Do you like the old school zombie movies? Or just the new ones?

I can only name a few recent movies because that's all that's been released in the genre. So you've probably seen them.

Well, I've seen Shaun of the Dead, and read The Zombie Survival Guide and I just yesterday bought World War Z

ok jitz, i know he's got nearly all zombie movies etc ever made, but im sure there are 1 or 2 u could suggest if u try REALLY hard lmao.

also, are we calling shaun of the dead a zombie movie? or a comedy with zombies?

Well the best zombie movies of recent times are

Dawn of the Dead remake, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, and Resident Evil Extinction (yeah I actually enjoyed it, the first two are complete shit though), and Diary of the Dead

Land of the Dead was pretty shit, Diary of the Dead was much better. POssibly due to it being an independent movie, while Land of the Dead was studio driven and probably had execs throwing shit ideas into the mix.

When you've watched those, go back and watch Romero's original Dead trilogy - Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. If you like their old school charm then you might want to go into more B, C and D grade stuff. Return of the Living Dead 1 through 5 come to mind.

ive seen commercials for some movie about zombies(i think) that looks like a rip off of resident evil, i cant remember what its called, anyone know what im talking about?

Just keep in mind that Resident Evil ripped off every zombie movie before, and was in no way an original, or creative storyline.

Yesterday on Cinemax they were showing Dawn of the Dead, and I rather liked it, other that the ending.

The original is great as well as the new one. In both instances, I liked the endings.

Try day of the dead next. I really like that film, but alot dont.

A great one would be Zombie, one of them gets in a fight with a shark.

It was the new Dawn of the Dead, the reason I didn't like the ending was that there was no resolution. They went to the island, and there were more zombies there.

I also saw Resident Evil:Extinction, though it was kind of confusing. (it might have been that I've never played the games though)
