It's nice to see this Kimbo Slice guy finally getting in actual MMA fights, if you can consider that an MMA fight. This guy has power, but he'd get wrecked in the UFC. If he wants to be taken seriously he needs to get into a fight where he gets taken to the ground and can defend himself because of all the videos of him I've see, he's hardly ever on the defensive.

Gary Shaw, the promoter of EXC, protects every single one of his fighters. They are not going to lose. In the UFC, you are going to be taking on the toughest competition and there's a chance you could lose every night. With EXC, they feed guys like Kimbo, people who are WAY past their prime like Tank or people with no experience in MMA whatsoever.

In short, if I want to see real competition, I'll watch some UFC. If I want to see Kimbo dismantle another has been or n00bie to MMA, I'll watch EXC.

maybe he's hardly on the defensive because he dominates the has-beens and nobodies he fights. seriously, you cant get someone to showcase their abilities when their opponent fucking sucks. hate to make a wrestling reference here, but judging kimbos skills by 3 shitty fights is like judging hbk's after a match with snitsky.

keep putting him in the mma equivalent of squash matches. build the hype. it wont be long til people start begging to see him face whoever is ufc heavyweight champ at the time (or any top ufc heavyweight for that matter) and when the fight is made, watch his career suffer an instant death. i will laugh. hard.
