Yer man fuckin oath... I came to that conclusion when i was hungover like you wouldnt believe, and someone got a message on their phone and it was some techno ringtone... the shit kept on ringing... over... and over... and over again... for about 10 mins. Obviously i was too dead to go turn it off so i just lay there while a little piece of myself died inside. Quote
Chillalex Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 yeah my phones mostly always on silent too, force of habit. I seem to have to always turn it on silent when its not so I got tired of it and kept it on silent. That said, however, I kept it on silent because they were quotes from aqua teen hunger force. "Remember, you have no regard for human life, most especially women. Because they have the ORGANS - that you wish THAT YOU HAD!. And you want to make a suit from them." and for texts: "Yes, the thirst is part of his pain, because the Devil had sex with a dog, and your mother was that very dog." it was good but not on trains. Mr Sparkle Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 My phones always on silent too, but when I do take it off Metalica - Battery Live Seatle 1989! Quote
jitz Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Man it's so hard to keep track of these damn ringtone trends. First it's old school cartoon shows, then it's the fucking frog, then it's classic pop rock tracks from the 80's, then it's obscure dance tracks no one will care about in a week, and now it's silence. Is this the easy out of the awkward conversation we've all been searching for? You know those times when your eyeing your mates begging them to ring your phone while an 80 year old woman tells you about her entire week of craft and what she had for dinner. "Sorry, gotta take this call. Not being rude, my phone is set you silent, be right with you". You won't though, that pretend phone calls brings about an emergency that requires your immediate attention. Pity though that you will miss hundreds of legitimate phone calls. Possibly worth it though, depending on your level of distain towards humanity. Quote

Possibly worth it though, depending on your level of distain towards humanity. my brother is sooooo guilty of that. anyways, i went through phase of the A-team etc during the polyphonic days, but i've always done the rock thing with my phone cept at christmas where i pick something christmassy.... have a few sound clips for text tones for a while too. im guessing if i liked dance in any way shape or form, i'd mayb be in that trend you described (excluding the frog) but i'd like to think i did the rock thing before it was cool lol. decided lay down by priestess makes a pretty good ringtone, kicks into the song pretty quickly, so you hear it from the start and are less likely to miss a call because you only notice the phone ringing around the point where ppl usually hang up/ Quote
Smacktalks Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I've had Just a day by Feeder as an alarm/ringtone for the last year, kept meaning to change it but couldn't be bothered. I usually have it on silent most of the time anyway. Besides it's a nice and loud awakening when the alarm goes off. Quote
