Chillalex Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 so basically you want to pay out your nose for it just because its a laptop right can you even get 8 series in a laptop? Those fuckers get HOT, so do laptops. Curious. And they need a decent PSU. Anyway Alienware sounds like its right up your league but be prepared to pay ALOT for what your asking. If it was a desktop - no problem... You could also build one but sourcing parts for laptops is fucking hard... and quite expensive. If youre intent on an 8 series and they do exist for laptops, get more ram in that too. What OS you thinking of running? Quote
ALL STAR Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Already have a desktop pc but its turned more into the home pc and when move out ill be leaving it. So something that portable makes more sense. Been thinking about the graphics card and im going for something lower and less exspensive but still packs a punch. Regards to the OS i was thinking Vista Home Premium but ive heard mixed things about it but ive looked into it and the programs i need i know they can be used with vista. Bloody hell just checked out alienware and thats way to much. Something thats around the Quote

Joe =/ Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 It's the same company I bought my laptop from, my laptop has been a beast until this problem with it that you know about, i know they'll fix it for me though - they are nice people. I'd recommend buying an extended warranty from them if you decide to buy there though, oh and also - use their customer service on their website, don't ring the UK customer service for them they are bloody useless. And finally, you can save yourself a nice lump of money by choosing to buy the laptop without an operating system on it ... and you could get one for yourself for "alot less", from elsewhere, if you get my drift..
