I was gonna draw two birds flying around being dicks but realised I had no references and all the times I drew them sucked. So I hit up my bird reference of one hanging itself. From my point of view it just makes it a bit more interesting than birds flying and that. I could say there is a reason but I did it for a laugh. Hopefully she still likes it, as shes only said she likes the birds in art in a formal way, not the creature itself. And yeah, if it comes off feeling like Pans Labyrinth, thats good, but also, Pans Labyrinth used Arthur Rackham's art as a major inspiration, as have I here (woman likes him as well) Google his name, he was a fucking amazing illustrator. Really this is one big tribute to Rackham as well, because I really think we should resurrect him and kill shitty vector illustration once and for all. Quote

Decided I'd keep it simple as I could and let what little there is, do the talking. Fucking girlfriend almost found it on my phone yesterday, so now shes intrigued as to whats on my phone that she cant look at. Fuck. Quote

Its a bit weird not having feedback when I do something for the woman. I normally have to keep it secret and I can't get too much info back on it. Shes already sort of seen it (FUCK.) As I set it, stupidly, to my screensaver on my phone. Fucking new phone syndrome. But it flashed for a second, then I got rid of it... but at least now I know she likes it. Off to get it printed tomorrow, think itll be like 30 quid or something. Gonna look in to canvas printing and the possibility of it considering my funds Edit: Print'd and frizzamed. Cost 36 quid in total, 20 for the print and 16 for frame. Print is A0 size, smaller on the width. It actually looks really nice framed up properly and printed nicely. Its all wrapped up now though, hidden, for friday.
