Thom Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I have a copy of Windows on my Laptop that I have accquired legally, but I need to burn it onto a DVD-R, because I accidentally put it in the same format that programs come in when they've been downloaded as a torrent. OOPS! Now I'd really like to be able to run Windows on my Mac, who's done something similar to this with ACTUAL torrents (Which I haven't used) and think they can lend me a hand on MSN? What do you get in return? I'll try and be as bearable as possible. Quote
Nemo Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 how about giving a file extension or something? apps come in all different formats, regardless of where you get them from. Quote
Nemo Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 first, you need PowerISO as no other apps seem to support .daa files. im not sure where you get your torrents from, but mininova.org has a fuckton of torrents for the app. once you have it installed you can extract the .daa to your hard drive and use those files to create a new .iso. alternatively, you can mount the .daa to a virtual cd/dvd-rom and just create an .iso directly from there. once you have a new iso, you can burn it with any dvd burning program. and that's pretty much it.
