Did I talk myself into a date by accident?

So there's this girl I've known for like 8 years now but we didn't really talk for a few of them cause we went to different schools and I've been talking to her on msn for like 2 years now and we make plans to hang out but they keep getting canceled by one of us and then my parents decided to go away for new years and we decided to hang out on the 1st because we both have plans already and there's no way I'm having a house party.

Whats happening is I'm picking her up at like 7 and we're coming back to my house and since it's the first time were gunna see each other in person in like forever I suggested we play some Guitar Hero cause it's probably gunna be pretty awkward and it's a good thing to loosen up abit, keep in mind I thought we were just hanging out as friends this whole time of talking about what were gunna do and she says to me "We should go in the hot tub at some point and then go inside and make something to eat and lay down and watch a movie or something". I got the feeling the movie wasn't the reason she wanted to lay down but I think I'm looking into too much and aren't too sure what she meant.

Do you guys think it's a date or just hanging out?

EDIT: Oh I almost forgot, I asked her to go to the school dance with me back in November and she said yeah but a couple days before the dance I got pretty sick and couldn't go.
