Well I sure as hell didn't sign up here to be a part of the "Smacktalks community," that's for sure. Judging from the reactions to a simple request here, who would want to? This is like the trash bucket of CodeX/Caws.ws. All I ask is for a link, you notify people before using their stuff, basic courtesy is all. I can see that is something this forum lacks.

Did I say anyone stole anything? No, I would just like a link for my own purposes (i.e. responding to comments). Yet all I am getting is crap. If someone has a question on my CAW (hypothetically), they would have to go through the person who posted it to me on another forum and back to get an answer. OR, you could just send me a link when you use my stuff, that way I can cut out the middle man.

Hell I don't even care, the extent of my wrestling game collection is SD!2. Bust asking for a PM when someone uses a CAW or code is kinda stupid, I thought that's why people give credit.

It's a personal request on my part for my CAWs (never said anything about codes, but I guess it could apply if the creator requested), for the above stated reasons. It just makes things easier, I don't see how that is such a problem. It won't hurt me either way, I just ask if people would do this in the future, so I can see what kind of responses I get here and help anyone with a question like if I screwed up on the formula... and the replies I get to that are stop bitching? Ok now we have a problem. I don't know where the other members came from saying this site was "stealing" codes or whatever, I'm just making a simple request for me. Fair enough?

im not trying to be mean or anything, so dont take this the wrong way, but you seemed a little direct when you first posted, and ppl dont really like that, and you could have mentioned that it was a personal request in the first place, which might of prevented all this drama, and the only general rule i new of is giving credit, but i still dont know all the unwritten rules

It's not a rule, and I wasn't demanding or anything like that. I said it would be nice if you could do that in the future. I thought that might tell you that it's a personal request on my part, I don't see how that got confused for something else. Anyway I guess it's sorted now so it's all good. Like I said before, it's not for my benefit. I got the credit, that's all I need. But I would like to be of help wherever my CAW is posted, and by providing me a link I can do so efficiently. Hope everyone understands my point now.
