Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember Speed Racer having crazy corkscrew tracks or anything of the sort. The movie looks to have some potential but I can't help but think it's going to suck. Everything from my (and I assume your) childhood that gets redone sucks, with Transformers being the exception. It like they were in a meeting "Kids now a days have no idea what Speed Racer is so let's make it all crazy cool and extreme (TO THE MAX!) in hopes that they'll like it. Alienating the people that grew up on the cartoon? Pfft!"

Shit like this is why I download old Flintstones and Jetsons episodes for my niece.
