It certainly does.

However, you guys have several flags?

I'm a bit confused.

way before the english took over the north of ireland, ireland was broken into 4 main counties, ulster munster leinster and connaught, these counties still exist really, each county has its own sub counties, ulster currently has 6 but it does on a rare occasion.

anyways, northern ireland is pretty much the same thing as ulster give or take a county lol heres a not entirely upto date picture to help you understand -

as you can see, not all the yellow ones (i.e ulster) are deemed part of northern ireland.

as much as there are other reasons behind the different flags and their meanings, that pretty much the main one.

So Aero, are there exclusive governments for each county or do all of the counties follow under one government?

And Don, Vault is better than both.

no, the republic of ireland has its own goverment and, whilst northern ireland has its own pointless, local, devolved government, it follows majorily under the UK's government.

Why is Ireland so confusing?

Honestly, countries have to stop sharing continents. It's just simply too hard to keep track of.

Fuck, I don't even really known what makes a county a county, and not a province, or a state, or a territory. Same goes for province too though.

And even more confusing, the counties have capitals!

we dont have states or "territory" and the word province is used very loosly over here too to be fair.

also, our counties don't have capitals, they would have a main city, but they are by no means deemed captials, the country has a capital tho....

I've been to Cork, it's lovely. Full of thick bastards, but lovely.

Can't be as thick as the Kerrymen.

Sorry Aero, I thought your counties were the same as ours having capitals.
