The Don Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I loved Disturbed back when The Sickness first came out, and I own Believe, not a great cd but not bad. But when I was downloading their CDs (My copy of The Sickness and Believe have been scratched to all hell) I also downloaded their third CD and the few songs I've herd from it ( I haven't listened to the whole thing because Disturbed + Shuffle + Halo = Happy Don) and it seems almost a little soft to me. What the fuck happened? The Sickness is my favorite pissed off CD... are they even making music anymore? Quote
DX Kidd Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 they are workin on next album for Spring '08 called Indestructible Quote
tokidoim Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 They made a ton of money and are now far too happy to write meaningful music. Who's going to believe they're still angry? nosig Quote
The Don Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 You mean they're suffering from Linkin Parkinsons? Quote
Nemo Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 i liked the sickness but in retrospect, i liked a lot of crappy music in high school. including linkin park. their new album will suck, but everyone will love it - especially if one of the songs is the theme to a wwe ppv. Quote
jitz Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I liked The Sickness too, but Believe sucked shit. What little I heard of Ten Thousands Fists was shit too. And Don, you 'clever' remark about Linkin Park is completely devoid of all wit. Linkin Park were never an angry band. If you actually listen to Hybrid Theory, it's just one long, sappy love song. Meteora just continued the sappy love song too. Did you actually listen to these albums? You can admit the screaming and loud guitars blinded your senses. The problem with Minutes to Midnight lies far further in than them no being angry, not, it rests with no effort, enthusiasm, and inspiration. Minutes to Midnight is just a shit album, Linkin Park can still come good, even without finding this "anger" you spoke of. Quote
