The Don Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 With my insomnia getting worse I've spent my nights watching a lot of CNN hoping to fall asleep. With all this shit about the Jena Six and Dog The Bounty Hunter, and not to mention Imus and Micheal Richards still fresh in everyone's minds I figure it'd make a good post. The biggest thing I've noticed with people like Dog and Imus is the fact that white people seem to be less forgiving than the black people. WHAT THE FUCK?! I mean whenever I see them talking about the nigger shit on CNN or MSNBC it's always white reporters talking about it! I'm not sure if any black people work for Headline News FOX News or MSNBC, but the afternoon guy on CNN is black! Not once have I seen him interview anyone about the recent "racism" in America. He interviewed the people behind but I haven't seen him talk to anyone about Imus, Richards or Dog. Hell I was watching a replay of Larry King this morning and he was talking to Dog, the e-mails and calls from black people said they forgive him and blah blah yet the crackers who called or e-mailed were outraged. WHAT THE FUCK? Here's another thing I ponder as I write this, would it be such a big issue if it were a younger white person sayin nigger? For example what if someone like Justin Timberlake said Nigga/er? Would people still be shitting a brick? He's young, rich, famous and associates with coloreds all the time. Is the problem just that the people in trouble are old and saying it? Like I said, Timberlake associated with niggers so he' have an excuse, but I'm pretty sure the Don Imus' and Micheal Richards' of the world don't exactly fraternize with jigaboos. Hell, I say nigger A LOT. More than most niggers I bet. But atleast I can fall back on listening to rap and having black friends. And yes I can say Nigga around them and I've broken out Nigger as well. Another thing is does it matter how they say it? Micheal Richards went off on a rant that would make a klan member proud, and he's pretty much done... but he pretty much was done soon as Seinfeld ended. Don Imus simply called a basketball team "Nappy headed hoes," but after a month or three he was more or less forgiven and get a show on a new channel, not to mention he started a fad. Now there's a tape of Dog saying Nigger a few times on the phone to his son who's dating a niglet. Now after watching him on Larry King this morning I can tell he's legitimately sorry for what he did, and it seems like he'll pretty much come out unscathed. I'm sure A&E will give him his show back and I'm sure Jesse Jackson's fuckin ass will come on TV speaking on behalf of niggers everywhere saying that he's forgiven. Oh, as far as the Jena Six goes, this is how I feel. EDIT: This is about saying the word Nigger. Leave the damn title alone. Quote
FlashYorkHunt Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) i heard about that and im white and all but i NEVER EVER use the n word like he did and iv never even said the n word in my whole entire life Edited November 8, 2007 by D3stroy3r Quote
The Don Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Okay HB. Quit changing the title from "NIGGER" to "The N Word" I didn't name the post "NIGGER" to be funny, I did it so people would see it and instantly their feelings on the word would come out. So leave it the fuck alone, kyke. Quote
Subrick Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I don't think that the world "nigger" should be used in public, particularly schools. In my school, which is made primarily of white people and Albanian immigrants, the word "niggar" is used a lot by everyone in the school. There are some black people and they do use that word, but saying "niggar" in my school is so commonplace that no one gets punished for saying it anymore. the only place I feel safe saying "niggar" anymore is in English because we're reading To Kill A Mockingbird, which, for those who've read it, has the word "niggar" said a lot of times in it. That's my view on the word. If I've offended anyone by outright saying the word "niggar", I apologize. Quote
Slim Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I don't see the big deal if you're not using it in a racial manner. I call my co-worker, thats black, nigga all the time. And he calls me honkey and such. Its no big deal. Quote
tokidoim Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 I think the more it's used by a variety of people, the more acceptable it will become. I think the generation that actively used that term as a derogatory word is about to become extinct. Anyone born after, I'd say 1985 will have more experience with the word being used casually by blacks...a LOT...in a wide variety of situations, but mostly as a term of endearment between two black peeps. I think the reason white people are more uptight is because they remember the word used by parents or grandparents in a callous, demeaning way and would be embarrassed if it was widely known that racism was prevalent in their family. They point the finger at Dog and Michael Richards because of their own shame, not because of the fact that the word was used...otherwise they'd have full-time jobs going after the hip-hop industry. If people don't start getting over it, black, white & otherwise, a stupid fucking word might be the downfall of free speech in America. That's one of the reasons why I hate everyone. nosig Quote
Slim Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Another thing I don't get is when comedians use racist jokes all the time (Kat Williams, Carlos Mencina and others) but people don't mad because they are using it in a joke. Its the same thing though. Quote
The Don Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 Beaners can get away with saying nigger because they're not white. Us crackers and Asians are the only ones who can't say it. I can understand not letting someone named Chu Mai Khaak saying it, but us white people invented the word! Katt Williams (who is hilarious by the way) is the man just for the fact that he worse a noose to an award show (BET Awards I think) and then the next day he was on CNN being asked (by a white guy) if he cares that he offended people. The entire segment was hilarious just because Katt was cracking up the whole time and the interviewer cut it short because he was gettin pissed. Quote
FlashYorkHunt Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 (edited) We all do :lol Edited November 11, 2007 by D3stroy3r Quote
The Don Posted November 11, 2007 Author Posted November 11, 2007 You've never said nigger, yet you think Katt is hilarious? How does that work? Quote
The Don Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 You're a Scot. No one outside of Europe can understand you therefor you don't count. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 (edited) I don't see the harm in any racist. Sticks and stones and all that. Unless it involved people getting physically 'bullied', calling people racist names doesn't bother me. If it wasn't race, we'd find something else to distinguish ourselves from others. tokidoim Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 I agree, Martin. Thank God for racism! Now we don't have to worry about being discriminated against on the basis of sex, religion, political affiliation, age, nationality, sexual orientation or social class. nosig Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Thankfully in all areas, I am dominant. Quote
essjayisback Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 quite a debatable topic this is really, i personally, dont think any form of racial words should be used."******" gets thrown about alot in films n hip hop music, i dont think it should be used at all. because alot of people do get offended by it. and there is just no need, if you want to insult someone just call them a cunt Quote
Niles Jansen The Third Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 That's retarded. In my opinion, people in the media should grow a pair and stop being a bunch of pussies. So people say a fucking word, and they are going to treat them as if they killed someone? It's insane. Quote
