โ F Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Heavy/death metal, waiting for the hating to begin. ;)2 Quote
Chillalex Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 no h8 i just think death metal is a boring genre full of stale copies of each other and its intrinsically flawed in its approach sometimes. Used to love it, now im rockin Nerdcore Quote
Jonny Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I'm currently rocking out to 80s metal and David Guetta. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 This should be under media. Topic moved. Oh, and by the way, my favorite music is Indie and Punk rock. Quote
jitz Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 If it has guitars, drums and a singer I'll give it a listen. Quote
jitz Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I don't go out of my way to listen to The White Stripes, but they've had a few good singles that have hit the radio airwaves over the years. I think Icky Thump is a great song, unfortunately the pop audience that listen to the radio and music tv channels disagreed and it was largely ignored compared to their past successful singles (atleast in Australia anyway, I don't know about worldwide). So yeah, even The White Stripes. Quote
Subrick Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Metal, particularly Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, and All That Remains. Quote
Doz1986 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Heavy Metal but keep a open mind if i like it i listen too it. Quote

Subrick Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Thankfully, no one here likes pop. I don't think of it as music. Quote

essjayisback Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 well im in an indie rock band, so i guess indie rock. however i do have a soft spot for "real" hip hop, such as j5,fort minor, little brother, sweatshop union...you get the point Quote
The Don Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 "real" hip hop I hate that term.Who the fuck says what's real and what's not? Assuming to you "real" means thoughtful lyrics, Immortal Technique alone shits all over your list. Quote
essjayisback Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 when i say "real" i mean avoiding crap like souljah boy. not so much meaningfull, but rapping about things that are real, and not guns drugs and sex all the time Quote
The Don Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Where shall I begin? Oh, so by your definition ofreal people Snoop, Dre, Proof (now Joe can jump in), Ice Cube, Eazy E, Tech N9ne, Nas, Jay-Z, Big L, Biggie, Bone Thus N Harmony, UGK, Jadakiss, Ja Rule, 2Pac and Joe Budden aren't real hip-hop? Quit while you're ahead. Quote
essjayisback Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 im not saying they are not real, im just saying they could down on the bull shit talk. Quote
The Don Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 What exactly is this bullshit you talk about? You realize that 99% of rappers talk about bitches, blunts and 40s because that's what retarded consumers want. That way little Curtis from Connecticut can play it in his car and few like he's gangster. Do yourself a favor and quit generalizing hip-hop. And if you don't like that excuse I can go for the good old "That's what they know. They were raised in an environment polluted with drugs, prostitution and violent." reasoning. Pick your favorite, and while you do that go download an Immortal Technique or Joe Budden CD and see how a real rapper talks about the "bullshit" you speak of. Quote
essjayisback Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I Have joe budden and immortal technique thanks. its the fabricated people i have an issue with, not budden or people who did grow up in the struggle. get a fucking grip Quote
