Aero Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 from what i've gathered, after they discovered that ALL existing 360s could suffer from red rings, they fixed that. they then had the same problem with the first batch of elite, but fixed that too. just keep your 360 well ventilated and it'll be fine, mines is. oh, also, the batteries for the ps3 controllers are built in and only have a 6 month warranty... when they go, you need to buy a new controller, with the 360, you can just buy a new battery pack or use AA's, thankfully for sony they fixed the initial problem with those batteries only lasting 7-8 months. Joe =/ Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Don't be fooled. No fucking 360 is safe from the red rings. Quote

CrossFan Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I haven't gotten it either yet. Like aero i also have a ventilation system. That shit works Quote
Fozy Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I just know how to keep my property alive. Quote
Aero Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 i dont have a ventilation system i have a "custom built".... (also cheaply built) stand for my consoles etc it looks like the diagram below, 5 shelves, 1 for wii, 360, ps2, skybox, media Harddrive. each shelf has2 bars in the base to raise console/box off a flat surface, allowing air in around it from all angles. i also keep all my systems flat using the logic gravity is a bitch (discs shouldnt spin sideways.) ignore the dots, when i first posted this, it took the spaces out between my lines. --------- |.........| |.|.....|.| --------- |.........| |.|.....|.| --------- |.........| |.|.....|.| --------- |.........| |.|.....|.| --------- |.........| |.|.....|.| --------- Quote
Joe =/ Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 lol, that's bullshit, my last 360 that died i kept it in a very open space with nothing around it, and my room was always cool as i'd never play without both my windows open. Your 360's will die, you'll fucking see. You're doomed. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 lol, that's bullshit, my last 360 that died i kept it in a very open space with nothing around it, and my room was always cool as i'd never play without both my windows open. Your 360's will die, you'll fucking see. You're doomed. Agreed. I kept mine in a well ventilated area, and it still broke. Don't make it look like we're the dumb ones. Microsoft made a faulty system, plain and simple. Thank God the new batch of 360's are actually working. Quote
ReverseTombstone Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 My mates on hes 3rd XBox360. First was a optical drive error, second was overheating and the 3rd one is yet to be doomed, i would guess another overheat though, it already resets itself :S Quote
ALL STAR Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 anyway so when we will be hearing whats planned for the online cause the game is out next week Quote
Aero Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 HB is delaying as the UK gets it the weekend before the US Quote
Joe =/ Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Nothing will be happening until a week or so after the games release. Everyone needs a little time to get a feel for the game and get some practise in. Though I do suggest all of you that will be participating in our long-running SvR08 events (this wont be a one off tournament) start thinking about which superstar you will want to be using. Information about our plans will be posted close to the games release, so you'll find out then. Quote
