It's Friday, rejoices! What plans has everybody made for the approaching weekend? Going out, staying in, going to see any movies, marathon sessioning any games which come out today, visiting somewhere new, got a hot date, going to any gigs, working, anything?

I dunno what I'm doing, I have a fucking terrible hangover from last night after seeing the blackout, who are shit but made a good attempt at a decent gig. Got into another first, that's 2 in a row. lol.

I'll probably just go out and have some pakora and beer, or else sit in and play halo or something. Not up for much today, and don't need to do much just because it's the weekend as next week I'm off, so yay. 8 day weekend!

Well I've just cracked open my first beer in preparation for tonight, just probably going down to the local for a few too many. Nic's staying at home, her house got broken into a few days ago and was completely trashed so she's...pondering over the loss of valuables? I'm going out and getting faceless.

Tomorrow is Nic's sister birthday, so we're having dinner somewhere. After that it's off to her cousin's sixteenth birthday party. Now the hook with this one is it's a "Pimps and Hoes" party. Now ignore the lame, cliched dressup tag, and think about 16 year olds running around in very little...with a pole to dance on. It's be oh so wrong, but oh so right at the same time. Nic doesn't want to stay there for long, you know, due to the certainty of drunk 16 year olds getting overly frivolous. Should be fantastic! After this we'll probably head back to Nic's for some sex.

Sunday we go to the zoo to feed lions, tigers and leopards. I'm paying a shit load of money for Nic to feed them for her 21st birthday present which was last weekend (the entire family must get horny at the start of the year, possibly to get over the post Christmas blues). Then it's back to work on Monday.

EDIt - Oh and somewhere in there I might get a PSP if I can't control my impulse spending urges.

Oh MAN I love 16 year olds. A friend of mine (The uhh, not quite of-age one I showed you Iain) has pictures of a party she went to a few weeks ago which the private school party-host had vaguely themed as "Sluts". You can imagine how many appendages I would've given to have been there; all but one.

Why are you paying so much to go to the zoo? Is Nic actually getting right there in the cage to feed them, or are Australian zoos just expensive?

I'm really looking forward to my weekend, which is making work today unbearable. Tonight I was supposed to be going on a date with a girl to see DJ Yoda, but I've never met her before properly, and DJ Yoda is a 3 hour train journey away, who knows what awkward silences could occur? Also I'm going to see him next weekend, which I won't get into that though, I'll save it for next weeks inevitable weekend thread. I digress, this evening the girl is coming over to mine to watch DJ Yoda DVD's, and possibly Futurama. The fact she recognised the quote on my Myspace "About Me" means that she's 90% of the way towards earning a marriage proposal.

Tomorrow I'm going to Birmingham with 4 other guys for my friend Dan's 20th birthday. We're getting a load of drink and getting shitfaced in a hotel room, then going to a big *shudder* alternative club, the only consolation being that this club hires hot girls to go and dance with people, and I know about three of the girls, so we can probably get some sort of VIP privileges. It doesn't even matter what music the clubs playing actually, I'm gonna be off it and in my prime, plus it's Dan's birthday, he can go where he wants. After the club we're gonna go back to the hotel with as many people as we can gather to go and consume any leftover alcohol until 7am, when McDonalds next door opens and we can get some sausage, pancakes and tea. And then on Sunday after bumming around Birmingham for a while our friends' band who have just finished touring Europe and recording their album are playing a homecoming show, so we're gonna go to that, and I'm gonna try it on with the drummers Sister. Good times.

Sounds cool man, im feeling the mood for some type of club, but I don't think the mates will bite on the idea of a 20 minute trip to the city, that's valuable drinking time.

The zoo is cheap, you have to pay more to feed the animals. Like feeding the monkeys is $40, the lions, tigers and leopards however is $150. They know the in-demand animals. We will be in the cage with them. We're not allowed to wear any red, and just no bright colours in general.

Oh and Thom, I think you should post the photos of the...not quite of age one, you know, for all to see.

going to try sorting out my projector by disassembling this dell monitor and just testing it, but I need to do it so it can be reassembled easily as I use it for dual monitors so Ill see how that goes.

Aside from that, sorting out my credit rating (whoo.) and housework

very close to getting projector working

got a signal playing on the screen, I thought the monitor I'd frankensteined was just broken, but apparently not. Loose connection. Only problem now is I get a "out of signal range" error on top, which should be easily fixed.

Everythings blurry too but theres some maintenence I need to do to the projector (it was only 12 quid!) and then fix up an ATX power supply & fan on this.

Im suprised I got it working, (touch wood) and it seems only right that the first thing I've played on it is porn, already. Sweet.

I was watching some shitty program that mentioned credit ratings. I remember one of the points it raised was to close any credit card accounts you don't use any more. Also, make sure all information you give 'them' is 100% accurate.

I'm not 100% sure how to sort it out.

What it is, is I've been trying to get an overdraft for ages (fuck halifax with a big stick, anyone with them, leave, do it for me.) and every time I try it comes back with a bad credit rating. Once is because I used my student address, which doubtlessly has a bad rep on it, and I tried my parents address and that too came back with a bad rep (ask me no questions I tell no lies)

So they said (the bank) that if I looked at this leaflet, which I have and have promptly lost, I can go online, send some cunts two quid (bastards.) and they'll tell me whats listed against my name/property. If I want, I can then tell them that it's wrong, provide reasons, and then get my name seperated from others.

Make any sense? I'll post up LINKZ as soon as I find the buggering leaflet again. I think its in the kitchen, blocking a gas leak.

Addendum:

Question: How do you loose a 350W PSU without touching it?

Answer: Leave it in Alex's room and let the woman tidy up.

I'm going to have to smack her over the head with it to teach her this lesson - don't touch what you can't afford.

Projector is coming on nicely. I've discovered - by chance - the exact set up it wants (for some reason this screen did not want to be a secondary monitor, has to be primary) and got rid of the bad signal.Just need to polish up the screen and projector, add a fan and such, wire up the PSU (which I've lost), then get everything in focus on the wall and find a way to scale video game windows as circuit board wizardry blocks a third of the physical screen.

Projector working! Its been a cunt of a time sorting it out but now Im happy with it. These pics are a bit shit, as its daytime, we dont have blackout curtains, its a phone camera (womans) and the projector is currently in the wrong place; needs to be further away. And I need to remove my pictures on the wall. Pain in the ass aside, 12.99 vs 300.00(GBP) is bargainous. Nevermind the 500 I spent pimping my pc out to beyond current gen. Projector was 13 quid, monitor was free (spare monitor) and I bought a spare cooling fan (4.60) and power supply for monitor, 4.99

So it came to about 25 quid. But it took a weeks worth of fiddling, disassembling (slicing the pad off my thumb in the process ) and tinkering.

Fullsize, daytime, test. This is not what it should be, this is just the scale. I have to run progs in windowed mode too as I sort of killed a few connections to the LCD monitor.

I got hammered Friday night, It was an awesome night.

About an hour of it consisted of about 5 of us guys and 5 girls (some friends, some girlfriends, Nic included) debating on whether a girl with huge tits in a yellow top had implants or not. I brought it up saying they were fake, I didn't realise the arguement it would cause. Sadly my own girlfriend sided with the 'real' camp. After a pissed mate of a mate tried to pick her up and failed miserably (she was hot and sober, he was not x 2), we had no way of actually finding out the inner workings of her large, perky jubblies. It was a sad day for all involved.

The drinking continued though.

Saturday night was...strange. It was everything it promised to be - 16 year olds scantily dressed. Nic's cousin showed me her arse when we walked in, it was to show us the people that had signed on it, but still... Sometimes I would forget that these people were 16 years old, that would all change though when occasionally mothers wearing track suits came to pick them up. It was an interesting 3 hours until we pulled up stumps and left.

but if you can pick up the components CHEAP, do it my way. Its a little bit of a pain in the ass - the monitor is temperamental (it always was a bit shit but my disassembly was a little heavy handed) but it works when it works.
