Anyway, I started college last week and I've got to know quite a few people. Trying to fit in and find some friends, talking to my mate's old friends from last year etc.

So, this girl has caught my eye, she's really friendly, and basically, I'd quite like to tap that. She clearly likes my mate though, either that, or she's just really flirty with him. Who knows, the guy is a retard around girls, and when we're together, they always warm to me because his approach to them is incredibly laughable.

How do I get her, remembering I've known her for a few hours or something and about a whole year for my mate.

(I usually wouldn't ask, I'm quite capable on my own, but I just wanted to see what you guys said for once, lol.)

First of all, after knowing your friend for a year if she hasn't done anything about it, she probably doesn't like him in that way. Secondly, if he's really that clueless that he hasn't noticed, then you shouldn't feel bad for "stealing" her from him, he won't hold something against you that he doesn't even realise you've done.

Further good news is getting to know girls after the age of 18 is piss easy. If you have any lessons together, sit by her and get chatting. If you have any free periods when your other friends don't, ask her if she knows any good bars/eateries to go for a drink/lunch and get to know her. Find out if she goes clubbing or whatever, say "Oh yeah, a few of my friends have told me about that place, should I check it out?" she'll say yes, and then all you have to do is turn up, have a few drinks, and the conversation will flow.
