What Do You Drive?

I've finally got my driving text next Thursday and I'm pretty confident that I'm gonna pass, so I've been looking at cars I can get just before I pass so I can start driving immediately. I wasn't entirely sure on what to get, but I had a quick browse on Autotrader just and I'm 95% certainly going to get a 2001 Fiat Punto Sporting, in Silver. It looks sweet-ass, but the fact it's only a 1.2 will keep my insurance fairly low. I'll post pictures later when I'm not at work, I think my colleagues are growing suspicious of me...

I'm not too fond of hatchbacks. I'm doing my driving test soon and I'm wanting to get a 2006 Honda Civic.

I don't have the worry of colleagues spying on me. I'm in a room on my own. How's that for class? Four walls AND a door.

Yeah an '06 Civic would be nice if I could afford one, they look like something ten year from the future. Insurance would be a complete bitch though as well. Maybe when I'm a family man.

Jonny you're living in a dream world thinking that you could possibly afford the insurance on a '06 Civic with no no claims bonus and no years experience of driving.

Who said anything about buying the car?...

Seriously though, yeah. I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance, even if I got the car in my dad's name. Even if I did get it, it would most likely get nicked within an hour around here.

Yeah I drive a '03 Peugeot 206 with some nice stuff on it. 17" Alloys, Sound System e.t.c. It's real nice, chicks love it. I'll do pics later.

Ahh nice, I was thinking of a 206, but they seem to hold their value pretty well, so I might have to make it my second car. I'm learning in a 56 206 Diesel, they're absolutely sweet as a nut to drive.

You know much about ICE? I need some kit to be banging out my exquisite music tastes, but I haven't got the first clue.

Yeah it's only a 1.1 though so the insurance is pretty reasonable, though it is slow as anything. I'm not interested in racing or do that much motorway travel anyway so it's not that important to me. Plus keeps it cheap to run.

I know a bit, my car sounds really good and it's really loud if I want it to be aswell, the rear view shakes and all that. Depends on what your looking for really?

Well I won't be blasting any Happy Hardcore in McDonalds car parks or anything, I just want something which has an Aux for my iPod, looks good, and has a good sound. Looking good is most important though really. Would like some 6x4's for the parcel shelf, and possibly a sub, but that's not essential.

I drive my parents 3rd car a 2003 Alero around, all I've changed on it is the stereo so it has alot more bass.

206's are dropping in price with the 207, i'll be getting a 206 soon.

i'll say this with great importance - DON'T GET A PUNTO THEY ARE ALL EVIL. know 3 ppl who have/had one and they all say never again, the majority of the problems seem to come from the cd players which is weird, but never the less, don't do it.... also, i think they look shit.

A '99 Chevrolet Malibu. A shit car, but a nice stereo system. And that's all that really matters, right?
