Anyone believe in ghosts?

I remeber when I was younger I used to hear strange things in my bedroom. One night I woke up in he middle of the night and couldn't move. I tried to scream, but I just couldn't do it.

You see, I learned something today. At first I thought you were all stupid, listening to this douche's [John Edward's] advice, but now I understand that you're all here because you're scared. You're scared of death and he offers you some kind of understanding. You all want to believe in it so much, I know you do. You find comfort in the thought that your loved ones are floating around trying to talk to you, but think about it: Is that really what you want? To just be floating around after you die, having to talk to this asshole? We need to recognize this stuff for what it is - magic tricks. also, no, was never scared of ghosts. between casper and that shitty demi moore movie, ghosts never seemed like much of a threat.

I saw some vid one showing three friends driving around in a car at 1AM and there was some on the side of the ride trying to get a ride but she looks strange.Two of them said no, the driver stopped since he wanted "an adventure".They took her and all of the sudden she makes this strange sounds and the car crashed.Cops looked at the vid and recognised a young lady that was in a similar car crash exactly one year ago.The girl trying to get a ride was never found in the car.Also, a couple of friends of mine went "ghost hunting" once.They decided to go to an old house where noone lived in 10 years.There was a gate that was closed so they did a long way to get around the gate but they all saw a guy watching from the window.They still went into the house and they looked out of the window and the same guy was watching them from behind the gate.I don't believe in it but it scares the shit out of me.

when my great uncle died, my parents got his bungalow, but it was too small for us so we got a 2nd floor added on. below the doors we have those goldo coloured metal things, you know, the things that fill the gap between 2 rooms carpet/wooden floors.

anyways, in all the rooms upstairs, you can see these 2 shadows that make it look like someone is standing outside the door, EVERY ROOM. my room is around the corner from the hall light too, so its a pretty weird coincidence that all the rooms are like this, and yet the onese downstairs arnt.

anyways, i was told as a child that it was my great uncle standing ouside the door, keeping gaurd as he was unable to enter the new rooms in the house. now, im not saying i belive in ghosts or anything now, but as a child it was very comforting to think it was true.

The other reason it looks to be inside is if you look just under what looks like it's shoulder, you can see the frame of the window that seerates the smaller top windows from the large bottom window.

I emailed it to Alan Robson from Metro Radio and called the show about it, as he is big on ghost hunting and does live shows from haunted places. He's also been on Most Haunted and all the other shows. I cant really remember what he said but Mark recorded it. I'll ask him for the mp3 and post it tomorrow.

One of my sisters friends is into Angels and thinks it could be an angel. She told me the name of what kind she thought it was, which I mentioned to Alan but he didn't seem to really believe in Angels.

lol, yeah I didnt really think it was either. To me it looked more like a figure in a cloak, I compared it to a floating Peter Pan with fucked up hands.

..But if you look at where the arms are, you can see what could be wings behind it.

It looks a bit on the scary side but i've never really felt threatened by it.

Theres been other things happen in the room recently that did freak me out, we have a Spider Plant on the fireplace, which I seen the leaves move out of the corner of my eye. Usually I would have thought I imagined that too, but I actually heard the sound of them moving as if something touched it.

The only explaination I have for it, is that maybe there was a fly on one of the leaves or something.
