Heart Breaker Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Wanderlei Silva Signs with the UFC. Now, this is huge. Very huge. Wanderlei Silva is the most dominant light-heavyweight in the history of MMA, and he's only 31 years old. If you don't know who this guy is, search up his name and download some of his fights. Every fight is memorable and amazing. This is Sal's favorite fighter, and I'm sure he's stoked to hear about this. The current rumor is that Wanderlei will fight Chuck in December. If so, Sal, we need to finally make a bet on this fight. Once and for all. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 This fight is honestly the biggest fight in the history of the UFC. So whenever this fight does happen, lets bet everything. Yeah. I'm serious. Since the magnitude of this fight is so incredible, I say we bet the signature, avatar, and name for one full month, 30 days. How does it sound? Quote
The Don Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 I'm gonna have to go with Sal and Silva on this... Quote
Heart Breaker Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 After seeing Chuck lose by KO to the hands of Rampage... yeah, I question Chuck a bit. But Sal and I have always talked about this fight, and we've always stood for different fighters when the discussion was brought up. No matter how many doubts I have in my mind about this fight, it doesn't matter. I have to make this bet. There will never be another fight like this in MMA history. Quote
Nemo Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Sal. Fighters will not be like Chris Benoit. They will stay in their respective companies. The only time they will meet is a super show once a year. Basically, the super bowl of MMA. Everyone is invited to my house for drinks once this takes place. It'll be fucking amazing. But yes. Good news. Very good fucking news! since that reply, we've seen nogueira (fuck if i can spell his name right), herring, rampage, hendo, cro cop, shogun and now, wandy all signed to the ufc. you know who was right? me. RIP PrideFC. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted August 19, 2007 Author Posted August 19, 2007 Well I was under the impression we'd see both fight organizations stay alive. But then I started hearing rumors on how bad PrideFC actually was. They did business on handshakes rather than contracts. They also had shit loads of debt. Yeah... UFC basically bought them out to do them a favor. Quote
Nemo Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 you know what pride and chris benoit have in common? THEY'RE BOTH DEAD, ROFL! Quote
Heart Breaker Posted August 20, 2007 Author Posted August 20, 2007 Whoever edited this... that joke was horrible. Congrats on failing. Quote
Fozy Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 You both took like a year to notice it. Fags. Quote
