The Don Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 So one of my good friends had her Daughter last weekend and was gonna give me a call this weekend after everything had settled down so I made sure my phone was on and getting reception all weekend and never got a call. So then today I went and took a shower since I'm going out in a bit and naturally she called in the 15 minute window that I take a shower, missing the call by five damn minutes. So I come down to a voicemail from her talking about how she's having a conversation with the guys from Super Troopers (my voicemail message is the Shennagians part from the movie.) I call her back and naturally no answer and I get sent to voicemail. Like 99% of my posts, there's no point to them but I feel better now. kthxbi. Quote
jitz Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Is this a topic about a missed phone call from a friend who has a baby? I just found it was hard to make sense of it. If this is more a topic about "How many missed calls have to had while you're in the shower?" (a far better topic, but still shit), the answer would be - heaps. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I am still waiting for the point in this topic. Quote
Thom Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I just take my phone into the shower with me. Quote
Aero Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 you shouldnt thats where most liquid damage occours. steam is a nasty nasty thing, it can sit in your phone for a while then start to erode bits of the circuitry (sp?) resulting in problems. you take the phne back under its warranty, it comes back unrepaired, you argue so it gets ssent off again, it comes back with a photo proving said liquid damage, you argue it must have been the shops doing, start saying the phone is not "fit for purpose" and you get told, less and less politely each time to get out of the shop. its not a fun scenario Quote
Aero Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 you really should, phones are alot more sensative than ppl realise... especially one customer i had, who believed a phone was not fit for purpose because the screen broke when they sit on the corner of a wall with the phone in their back pocket. if it was me i;d have argued that "it just went that way" or something lol. my defence is "would you sit on an lcd tv?" to which i was apparently changing the subject. it was a d900, to be perfectly honest, i;d rather sit on an lcd tv than sit on a d900, tv is less likly to break lol Quote
Chillalex Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I just take my phone into the shower with me. i did that once its dying now but i also had a pint spilled on it. cunts. to which my reply was stabbing it with a knife to make sure it was dead. its not dead, but its not healthy, like dumbledore my boy in HP2 Quote
The Don Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 Since we're talking about phones, I have a question for Aero. As has been documented, my phone is shitty. Now when I got it and it started taking a shit on me, they'd said I'd have to send it into T-Mobile and couldn't swap it out because I wasn't on a plan at the time. Since then I've gotten on a plan with my brother and his wife (in his name) so if I go into the store with him what are the odds of them outright swapping my phone out for new one? Quote
Aero Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 dunno, Tmobile are gay in the uk (no offence L&E) they probably wouldnt. but you could try it. did you not get a new phone when you went on a plan? Quote
The Don Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 Actually I my sister in law got the new phone because my brother broke (thre) his... so being the pussy whipped SOB he is she got the new one, he got her's and I got the new SIM card... Quote
Aero Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 thats shit. so your phone is still your old one and as such has nothing to do with the service plan? they'll not do a thing extra for you if that is the case. Quote
The Don Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 Damnit... I'll just upgrade in Febuary. Quote
