"A new list of the 20 Greatest Guitar Solos has been compiled by the staff of Britain's Q magazine, naming David Gilmour's solo in Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" the greatest guitar solo in rock, reports The Pulse Of Radio (formerly Launch Radio Networks).

Coming in at No. 2 was Brian May's lead work on Queen's "Killer Queen", with the third greatest guitar solo being tied between Jimmy Page's solo on Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" and Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze".

The Top 20 Greatest Guitar Solos according to Q magazine are:

i love brian may solo's, i cant help but think there should be 2 or 3 in there, all in all i think the whole thing is wrong.

I agree with most of it. Apart from Radiohead.

I also think Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways or Still Got The Blues should be in there.

Wheres Lynard Skynard's Free bird, and Van Halens Eruption, those are great Solos, at least Stairway is up there.
