Ive just been paid for a job through paypal.

I need to link my account to my bank account yet but I am in the UK, using GBP. They sent USD.

If I link my bank to paypal, would I be able to withdraw the USD as GBP (ie, would the balance be converted for me) or do I need to be paid in GBP?

Yeah they always automatically switch the currencies at the current exchange rate but they also always charge a fee for doing it i believe, which i think depends on the amount you're converting.

There's also the other fees you get if you don't have a personal account. Business accounts get raped by fees.
