posts on digg link to threads at other forums all the time. you think those forums are getting 100s of members or are people just reading the thread and just going back to the site that linked them there?

you know why these sd-hacking sites were popular? because people couldnt get the codes elsewhere before they were posted at sd2h/st/s-t whatever (not to mention the fact that the games didnt suck back then either). once the hacking scene died, or when other sites came about, that was the end. no hacking, no smacktalks. its absolutely pointless for us to be so focused on news and updates for a shitty game that comes out once a fucking year, especially when we're not hacking it or doing anything really.

the same shit happens every year. the game comes out, the forum gets some activity and then goes into hibernation until the next installment is announced, or pics are provided. i suppose the caw forums stay active for a bit, but that isnt enough.

we're going in the wrong direction. im not sure what needs to be done, but this isnt it.

Sal so far I have added 2 things to the board.

1) RSS Feeds, even if it helps bring in 5-10 members it's better than none.

The whole reason for them was to use on an ST website, the fact that they can then be used on other peoples websites is 1 bonus, the fact they can be used in outlook, mobiles, etc. is another.

2) NZB Section

This is the fastest way to download anything, tv programs, games, dvds, etc. FACT.

I am not saying stop using Sals tracker and use this instead, I'm simply saying give this ago and see what you think.

Further more the content in the forum is for anyone downloading nzb's to post any good ones they find in relation to wrestling, the same way people post torrents. You can get anything from Usenet quicker than you can via torrents.

Most people get softeware, etc form Usenet and then uplaod it as a torrent for others to download.

At the end of the day this is just me making people aware of another option to download stuff.

The point is to give them ago and see how they go, at the end of the day there not going to drive members away now are they?

In terms of the exclusive content that is something I agree with you 100% on and that is something that i've been working on. There's currently 2 more things that that will be ST Exclusives that wont be available on other websites but these wont be posted until they are completley finished.

You dont HAVE to pay for access, I've added a link to all ISP news servers so you can use it freely.

The reason the pay option is there is so you can signup if you want to, otherwise just use your ISP news server and download them for free.

if the usenet forum is such a bad idea, it will flop. if/when it does, we'll have the tracker to fall back on, because i will continue to run it as well as provide torrents for it.

we really have nothing to lose here. if anything he does helps the slightest, we're best off marking it as a win and moving on.

Agreed, the idea is just to give another download option, if it works great, if it doesn't then we'll try something else.

My ISP cut Usenet the other month citing some reason of cost cutting, and that it's dinosaur technology anyway.

At the time I didn't give a shit, I had never used it before, I had no idea how to use it. Of course irony would give me a use for it a month later.

Although I'd still probably just stick with torrents anyways. Wrestling torrents are uploaded to wrestling torrent trackers first, and new torrents download extremely fast anyway. It's not like anybody is going to start at their torrent program counting down to 100% completion on a wrestling tv show.

Good job adding new shit though, somebody might have a use for it... probably not though.
