Smacktalks Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 In a few days, 50,000 MyFootballClub members will attempt to buy a real football club. They will own the club, pick the team, decide which players to buy and sell, and attempt to guide their football club up the leagues. http://www.myfootballclub.co.uk/ -- Forget championship manager, now you can buy your own club for the same price. Do you think this could work? People always blame the manager for formations, team selections, etc. and say they could do a better job. Now they have the chance to prove it. I was tempted to signup for it, Quote

scoot Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 major fuck up, its my wireless keyboard, from a certain distance only certain keys work and even then they dont always work the reply i tried to make: well with this country being as passionate about the sport as it is, i think its a great idea. better to use the oppinions of 50,000 than the oppinion of a sole person imo Quote
Aero Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 i care not about the team decisions etc, but that is still a cool prospect, tempted to splash the cash on it for 2 reasons 1. i could say i own a football team 2. i would start following the team and hopefully feel a bit of passion for them etc seeing how i'd own a share of them. hmmm.... very very tempting. Smacktalks Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 The update on the site says there in talks with 4 clubs, so I'm guessing from the top 4 voted for on the site they will be... 1 Leeds United 2 Nottingham Forest 3 Cambridge United 4 Accrington Stanley I doubt they'll get Leeds or Forest, but Cambridge or Accrington looks realistic.
