Aero Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 chris benoit has been rmoved from the game as it would have been seen as a "P.R. disaster" to leave him in the game. with the game virtually completed this was by no means an easy task, esp with voice recording, storylines etc already done. obviously, unlike eddie last year, benoit would not be simply changed to a legend due to the circumstances surrounding his death. rumours suggest that they may add his attire etc to the CAW section, but at present that is just rumours im glad he's not in the game, it would very easily upset alot of people altho im sure others would want him in, purely from a wrestling point of view... and of course there are bound to be those out there who just want him in the game to extract their own beatings from him. opinions? Plus the decision to remove Benoit would have been made a month ago when it was first revealed he murdered his family. Benoit's participation with the storylines has always been limited too, he's not a great promo guy, so his voice over work is even worse. This topic can be summed up in one word - dumb. Quote

But through past gaming experience, I've seen that CAW graphics r horrible in the game. I hope it looks just as similar to the original players in the game this year in the PS3. Then, I have no worries. I'll be making about three or four attires of him depending on limited CAW space. Quote

I just received news that SvR 2008 will lose the credit of having headlocks, STFs, chokeholds, chokeslam, The Crippler Crossface, Diving Headbutts, Anaconda Vice. This is according to Mr. McMahon. I can't verify this as it is only a rumour which can result to be true. Oh man. I just do not want this to happen. Without these manuevers, the only submissions WWE has are the armbars, leg locks, full nelsons, and groin press. Wait the last one was rendered as banned. Quote

This hasn't been confirmed though yet. To recent memory, I do recall seeing Kane chokeslamming Dave Taylor by grabbing him from his chest. Looks like it will be renamed to a chest-slam.
