1st Edition?

So I found the next book I'm gonna read, I ordered a copy of Blue Rage, Black Redemption, it's Stanley William's memoirs. Anyways when I was trying to find it around here I called Barns & Nobel asking if they could order it and they said no cause it's out of print and it was published by a small publisher and it's going to be republished in November.

Anyways it got me to thinking that I ordered a first edition. Normally I wouldn't care or think twice but I was watching CNN this morning and they had a blurb about a Harry Potter 1st edition going for a lot at an auction so I'm thinking it could be worth a decent amount in a few years. Any way to tell if it's a first edition?

Keep in mind though, Harry Potter is like a cultural phenomenon while Tookie just left us with some funny material for ytmnds. I doubt you would get much for it.

Tell me if it's entertaining though, I wouldn't mind reading it. I'm trying to find any decent book about somebody going through jail and the gangs inside and that. I doubt this will be like that, but incase it is tell me when you're finished with it.
