scoot Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 living here in sheffield hasnt done me much good in the way of weather recently. the shopping are where i work (hillsbrough) has lost all power, and within the shop i work at, we have also lost internet and the phone system is down. honestly walking down there this morning was like stepping into a scene from 28 days later. ive also heard bad stories about meadowhall, apparantly thats all flooded, and according to a worker of my dads, the petrol station close by it has blown up.... at least there was sufficient water to dampen the fucker down. as it stands for my house, everything is physically fine, althought i have just got the net back, and im assuming the phones to be back as well, but there are still power failures now and then. all i know is 2 days off work cant be bad anyone else been hit badly by this weather? Fozy Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Serious discussion my ass. Fuck your shitty city. GLASGOW RULES. Quote
Nemo Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 water is afraid to flood glasgow. thats how tough you guys are. Quote
Fozy Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 True. It falls, and evaporates as soon as it touches the city's treacherous land. Quote
scoot Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 you make it sound like glasgow is right on the edge of the equator (regarding evaporation in terms of heat etc) Quote
Big Bizang Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 A guy died in Hull because his foot was trapped in a drain and he drowned when the floods came. I ask you, is there a more miserable death? Quote
scoot Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 well you could die from being raped too much by your best friends grandmother. thats pretty fucking miserable Quote
Nemo Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 id rather be raped by your best friends grandmother than be raped by you. Quote
Nemo Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...1/nflood201.xml apparently paris hilton isnt immoral enough to be smote by such a vengeful god. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I've never experienced a flood in my life. And never has it happened to a more deserving county than Yorkshire. Quote
Big Bizang Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Thankfully North Yorkshire (the only one worth taking note of) has barely been effected. Quote
