So naturally I decided to take count of how many I'v seen (beginning to end only) and here's the ones I came up with. The Godfather The Wizard of Oz Star Wars Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Forrest Gump Titanic Toy Story I've seen parts of a few of the other movies like Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List and The Sixth Sense (among others) but I haven't seen the majority of the list. I have Godfather II and III as well as Pulp Fiction on DVD but haven't found time to watch them. I just figured it'd be interesting to see who's seen the most of the list. One thing I did notice is the lack of "newer" movies, barring LOTR, from the list. Have movies lately really been that bad, have just not had enough time to reach the level of being considered a classic or is the AFI just behind the times? I figured The Matrix, Shrek, Sin City and Fight Club would be on the list, atleast in the lower 25. Also the only sequel on the list was The Godfather II. Two Towers? Return of the King? Empire Strikes Back? Return of the Jedi? No, no, no and no. That's kind of surprising, and the article didn't seem to mention if it was on purpose or not. Also, if anyone here has seen Citizen Kane, I'm assuming Ming saw in in the theaters back in 1941, please explain to me why it is almost already regarded as the greatest piece of cinema of all time. Considering the fact that I've NEVER seen a single scene from it, I'm rather intrigued.... http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/...s.ap/index.html Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I've seen 51 of the movies on there. I also have never seen Citizen Kane. And I think the Godfather Part II is better than Part I. Quote
