Another help needed topic.

So the exams are here again and i want to study but i just can't get it started so if anybody has any learning tips at all,just post away.

It might sound stupid but it will help me.Thx in advance.

theres no point in studying if you cant focus. being sorrounded by video games, computers and tvs doesnt help the cause either. your best bet is to just go to the library where nothing will be able to distract you.

my old headmaster convinced me to try listening to classical music at a low level to help me focus... i tried then told him it was gay (not my exact words to him tho) i then thought i'd try again, only substituting with metallca S&M, it seemed to help me, being a metallica fan yourself i'm sure its an option you are willing to try.

also avoid all other technology tho.

I agree with aero listen to some music it works, i just listen to my ipod and study, for some reason it much better then sitting in a library or room with everything and everyone quiet. You have your peace and quiet, sorta.

A way that my Grade 9 Social Studies teacher taught me is that if you are given a booklet of review questions, take a pencil, a blue pen and a red pen and everything yuo know right off the bat fill in with your pencil. Everything that you can't remember but after quickly glancing at a book can remember fill in with the blue pen and everything else that you have no clue fill in with the red pen. Use it as an order of importance.

Say your studying and your looking over your review booklet, instead of reading everything 5 times, read the stuff in red 4 times, the stuff in blue 3 times and the stuff in pencil once. This saves time in going over the stuff you already know and focuses on the stuff you actually need to study.

Also try and study in a place where there are no distractions around like a tv or a computer or video games. I like to study in my backyard in my hamic if I can because I find it peaceful with no distractions. Just find a place where you can clear your mind of things like sports, girls, plans for summer etc.

Me personally I hate listening to music when I'm studying because the tniest thing can distract me and you lose your focus on what your reading and just listen to the music and you might as well not even be reading the notes at all because your not gonig to remember what they said 5 minutes later.

Library:That's just what i want but the problem is : in belgium we don't have that sorty of things.I mean I can't go to the library to study because we have no room its filled with books.

Music:I've tried that one but i always end up singing allong with the song but S&M is an instrumental song i gues(heard it just once) will give it a try

I studyat a desk but my pc is on it but i just ignore it but then my mum comes in and asks me to do this and that and all of that crap so it's never quiet.I hate this fucking exam period.

never pre-judge something a band you like does, give it a chance.

also, aerosmith (in my opinion) rock, and they have been using horns etc for years, a horn does not take away from the rock genre, ffs, even ac/dc have ventured into other instruments, in "it's a long way to the top (if you wanna rock & roll) they use bagpipes, BAGPIPES!!!! hardly rock & roll on their own, but work very well with the song, download a few tracks from S&M and im sure you'll want the whole thing.

Yeah but the flutes in it i think is gay.But that tp together with the color tip is FUCKING AWESOME:I tried the both at once and instead of using S&M I used Orion wich is great for studying in my opinion.The color tip is great!THX GUYS!

I think Hero Of The Day is good because they don't overreact with the flutes but the text is shit in my opinion and that's what fucked up the song St.Anger:music ,good text:good but use other words!!!!

S&M is orchestral versions of some of metallica's best stuff so lyrics(text) is irrelivant. check out the S&M version of nothing else matters if nothing else.

torrents are files that are used to connect you to others who are sharing one or many particular files (that you're apparently looking for). say you download dons super rare spidey 3 torrent (uploaded the night the movie came out, of course), opening it would connect you to those who have the movie and youd begin downloading it.

the pros of bittorrent are basically simplicity, being able to download from multiple sources at once, downloading collections of files (full cds, seasons of shows, etc) and of course, quality of content is rarely an issue.

the cons are pretty much connectivity related. if theres an issue with the tracker, you sometimes cant connect to other people and if nobody is seeding what you're looking for...well, you're fucked. also, some sites with private trackers not only require you to register, but you must seed (share) as much as you download. so if you download a 1gb file, you're expected to share that file until you've uploaded 1gb. it can be a bitch if you have a slow connection.
