I'm in the midst of doing a report for World History final exam, so I chose the relations between the USA and the Middle East. As part of this report I added the Nick Berg decapitation video. I just watched it and it is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. But before you start getting mad and asking why I watched it, it was for a report. It wasn't for watching a decapitation just for the sake of watching a decapitation. So has anyone ever seen that video or any related ones, i.e. the Daniel Pearl decapitation?

I can't really pass judgment... I luaghed at Saddam's execution. Not to mention I have a habit of going on LiveLeak and watching sniper videos. Nonetheless, a decapitation isn't really at the top of my must see list.

It's disturbing because not only is it a decapitation but you can hear Berg gargle and moan while he's being murdured.

Dude, I've seen it years ago or something. It's horrible yes, but god get over it. You can't say it's the most disturbing thing you've ever seen over and over again. We've seen worst things in horror movies, this doesn't make it worse to see just because it's real.

the fact that people know the movie isnt real provides relief for any trauma (for the lack of a better word) it causes. there is no relief for seeing a person really decapitated. not only that, but unlike with horror movies, snuff films trigger a lot of emotions other than fear. and to top it all off, theres a good chance that once someone sees someone else gruesomely murdered, its something that will scar them for life.
