i personally would recomend this movie. bein a huge fan of the 1st two movies. i didnt leave disapointed. although i am reading alot of people felt lost with this story. personally i went back and watched 1 and 2 before seeing the 3rd and it made me go into the 3rd knowning about 90% of what was happening. there were a FEW flaws in the story though. one of my biggest peeves is the fact that they do not explain the history between sparrow and the general of the east india trading company (mind blanking on his name). thats really the biggest one. i was expecting more out of the whole colypto character. i liked how they introduced her and then you find out who she is. but i would of liked to know more about her and what EXACTLY she is. how in the world she had a relationship with a character and so on. the 1 other thing i was disapointed in was the lack of story involving the characters that were introduced in this movie. all these new pirates are introduced but really have no plot in the movie. the one that acctually does have some sort of direction ends up dying within the 1st hour and a half. but besides all that. i reallly liked this movie.

every actor did there roll great. what they did with all the main characters was very impressive. it really shows how the characters have changed over this time period and how the previous movies have affected there mind state and there choices. it wasjust an overall good movie. i recomend the movie more for adults this time around because of the long run time and more in depth story, the ending i think really did just bring the series full circle. although i was a little down about the ending for a pair of characters. the way the movie ended for sparrow was great. i have read rumors about another 3 movie trilogy after this movie. the way this one ends kinda puts those rumors to rest. the only way i could possibly see a 4th movie bein made yet alone 3 more would be if they focused it ALL on jack sparrow. there is really no way to put will turner or elizabeth swan (now turner) in the 4th. even more so since a recent interview knightly did she flat out said she doesnt want to make another one because of how long they take to make. but overall i would recomend this movie.

It was way too dragged out, could've easily cut out a good 45 minuts of it.

The Keith Richards cameo was a huge letdown too.

Well there was all that build up to him being Jacks dad and then when he comes in the room for the first time it was like no big deal and he says like two things and then you only ever see him once again and its only for like 2 seconds while he steers a ship.

I din't even see Dead Man's Chest but i liked the first movie very much.The new movie looks good but the TV directors of every channel shut think twice,when the commercials come on there are lets say 15 commercials and ten of them are Pirates Of The Carribean.The way that they want us to seethe movie is stupid.

keith was never gonna be that good in it anyways imo. he's not an actor and, lets face it, these days when he's not on stage he doesnt seem to be the full shilling. as such the fact that he bares a similar look to jack sparrow is pretty much the only reason he was in it.

I liked it it, was as good as the 2nd movie but the 1st is still the best. i liked how they put humor while the huge battle is going on.and also i watch passed the credits never got the chance to with the 1st and 2nd, it was ok but short(although it was meant to be).

I thought it was really good, an excellent trilogy that good better with age.

The only thing about At World's End is that you need to know what happened in Dead Man's Chest as it's never explained again but is crucial to many plot points, which is a good thing otherwise it would have been even longer. The plot makes perfect sense, I don't know what so many people's issue with it is.

Agree with strum about the 2nd movie and how you have to watch it to understand.overall it was a good movie. The only bad thing was that the ending annoys you by leaading you to the next movie.

Im going to try to avoid spoilers, but I really enjoyed the ending. Granted they left it open to go into a fourth movie, but they only laid down the McGuffin for it, the original trilogy story is completely closed up with no loose ends. The way they left it open makes sense in regards to Jack's motives in the last film, but is a completely different story. I think they set it up really well, and Johnny Depp has said he wants to make these movies forever. He does such an excellent job, why not let him.

One of the main problems I had with it was how it was nothing like I thought it would be from the set up it had from the end of Dead Mans Chest. It made it look like it was going to be some huge journey to get to Jack and back but it took nothing really to get there and back except for two littles things that they seemed to think they should drag out for 45 minutes or whatever it was.

But the biggest problem I had with the movie was Kylipso. She came out of nowhere and when the climax of her character came and she was released and it was retarded, she got all big and then started screaming in slow motion and then turned into the crab things and went into the water and then BarBosa's like K she failed us" and that was it excpet for the whirl-pool she made.

She she ended up not wanting to fight for either side, she hated both. The pirates for sealing, and Davy Jones for betraying her. So she created gusts of wind behind both sides so they both thought they had an advantage and would fight the other side; this could also be assumed to have created the whirlpool or it could have also been her doing.
