Aero Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 but eddie was venom, if the symbiote leeched on to someone else, they wouldnt be venom, they'd be someone else, spiderman wasnt venom when he had the suit, case closed! they should have kept eddie alive, that way any trace of the symbiote that survived (doc connors) could have led to the rebirth of venom. eddie dying makes it impossible. Big Bizang Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Actually right now in comics Venom is somebody else. Some twat nobody likes. Erm... that either proves me right or wrong I'm not sure which. Quote
Nemo Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 the venom name makes no sense whatsoever since it isnt really the symbiotes name or brocks. it was used as a metaphor for the bond between brock and the symbiote since they were "poison" for spiderman. the fact that spiderman never took the venom name proves that its not the symbiotes name, but the fact that all the new hosts have the venom name proves that it isnt brocks name either. as bizang pointed out, there is another venom - the fag who used to be the scorpion. so yeah, any villain bonded with the negro symbiote is venom. end of discussion. Aero Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 thats wank! they take this piss with comics now. or is this another one of the many spiderman dimentions with iron spidey or something? Quote
Big Bizang Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Iron Spider-man isn't a different dimension, it's canon. During Civil War. So too is Venom, Eddie is dying of cancer and Gargan has the symbiote. He's also huge and has shitty looking eyes. I think he's in Thunderbolts at the moment. Quote
Aero Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 bah, im not even following that, i'll stick to remembering the cartoons from the 90s, they have served me well Quote
IamPayne Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 - harry gets hit with a pumpkin bomb and gets a scar - eddie and the symbiote both get hit with a pumpkin bomb and are vaporized Exactly a reason why Venom/Eddie wouldn't have been killed. A piece of the symbiote was left behind, but so was a piece at Dr. Connors. It would more than likely regenerate any damage done to an injured Brock. Reading up on wiki it appears to possess this ability as it was used to save Eddie Brocks ex-wife Anne's life after she was near-fatally shot. It also merged with Spider-Girl (Parker's daughter in an alternate universe) when she was critically wounded and healed her. I didn't like how Brock kept referring to himself as "I" and not "We" when it came to hating or threatening Spiderman. That was just how he talked, nothing major, but easily done. Speaking of the newer Spiderman comics I did happen to see one of them. In it the Fantastic Four helped Peter remove the symbiote and lock it in containment. But Johnny decided to try it on and liked his new black FF suit. Then he went "Flame-On" which caused the symbiote to high-tail it to where it found Brock to become Venom it that storyline. Quote
