new forums and forum structure:

- kill freebies and forum x, have one media category with wrestling an gen media subcats or whatever. fuck freebies.

- sports forum

- ban don

- toss svr with all the other wrestling games

- split gaming into ps/xbox/wii/handhelds

- serious discussion or news section

- pc discussion/help

other shit:

- forum chat room

- ban don

- board mods (ie. forum arcade)

all i can think of atm. more to come.

I think we should kill the freebies forum and forum X too make it one forum with sub forums maybe even add in a warez section.

Possibly a Computer forum for all the problems we have. An arcade would be cool but after awhile would probably get dull. I would say add more mods while combing out old ones that haven't gotten on in a year. I would say that some of the older forums too are sometimes just as busy and the newer ones.

Forum chat room would be nice although this whole forum is basically one MSN.

How about we return the old start page with downloads of our caws in Text format so people can use them along with wallpapers.

Have a random tutorial section. Split the Artistic section into Photoshop tut's Photoshop creations requests and a Paint section for Don. Add more features like if you have been here over a year then you get a special banner and access to more forums and have a tad bit more power

Sounds far off but has been done but like a video web chat and something like ventrilo for the forum.

EDIT: Also instead of newbies try having it set so you have to put a code to register to prevent spam.

If we had ventrilo for ST it would just be a perfect excuse to bash Don on the mic.

We're not going to ban people because they choose the way they want to type. I talk to a shit load of people on MSN. I'm one of the only few people I know who uses correct punctuation and sentence structure when I talk on MSN. Should I ban the people who don't use proper grammar from MSN? No. And the same applies here. I'm not forcing people to type a certain way. Too much focus is put on how people type. We should be focusing on their opinions. Now if they can't put a simple period in their statements once in awhile, we can ask them to help us out. But I'm not going to ever ban people for grammar. It's about the person's point of view. Not how they type it.

We have that. Spam still comes, amazingly.

YES! Just so I feel like I'd added something to the dicussion allow me to poorly rephrase what's already been said.

Warez/Fourm X/Freebies whatever you want to call it needs a little more life. I've tried with a few posts bu eh, it's kind of a lost cause right now...

The gaming discussion is in dire need of help and organization. Arranged by console perhaps? A special section for cheats and glitches might be kinda cool as well. I know a few people here are into various glitches in games, and I wouldn't mind learning to do the "exploding chainsaw" in Gears.

A chatroom might be a half decent idea. hopefully if some of the nicer members hang around in it (IE not 90% of us) newbies will form some sort of friendship with a more experinced poster and stick around. Also it could serve as a "Fix this bitches" section as it'd be somewhere easily viewable.

I've been saying this for awhile, but we need to get the point across that Wrestling isn't just Wrestling. I think we need to start making more MMA and even boxing news posts. Granted I don't think many of us watch boxing. Which brings me to my next point. Give sports discussion a second chance, it might be used as much as the rest but it could come in handy...

Oh and Globally Mod me, and replace Matt and Supa with Jitz and Sal... hopefully they don't ban me.

Sal, where does the hunting forum fit in in your new overhaul?

it doesnt. as hb already mentioned, an affiliate board for hunting is being created, but on a different server as well. the hunting board/forum is going to use a projected 10tb of bandwidth and will also require at least 100% of the server's dual 3ghz cpu. needless to say, it would destroy st should if it were hosted here.

...I don't think we should ban Don. He hasn't done anything lately...

and what? we're gonna sit here and wait until he does? i say we get rid of the hiv before it turns into full blown aids. cast a lv15 IP ban which will rid him of whatever mana he has left...and his posting abilities too.
