Well, the time to announce the new member of the month has come around again... unfortunately HB missed it... sorry! nah, HB is busy doing other crap so i thought i'd post this instead of him, you've all been kept in suspense long enough.

This Months Member of the month ugly head pops up al over the site on a regular basis, he's sarcastic, mean to alot of members and a bit of a foul mouth, but is suprisingly endeering with it, resulting in quite a few members having a bit of a soft spot for him... whilst cursing him at the same time.

The reason he has been chosen this month is not only for the topics and posts he's been making, but for all the extra work he's been putting in behind the scenes and all the help he has offered both me and HB via MSN.

Ladies and GentleMAN, your member of the month for May is none other than General Chats own Mod Mr. Slurms MacKenzie Aka sal.

Honestly, when we give Member of the Month out, it usually isn't for posting. It's the quality of posts and how much they contribute to the board as a whole. If anyone went above and beyond that, it's Sal. He helped with our skins. He helps the board with posts. He's a great member to have. There's no one else that deserved it more than Sal.

... Oh and he made me admin of his board. That's what basically did it.

Is he not trusted or something? Have you been told no, by the boss of this board, who never actually comes here anymore? You and HB have good ideas, but just not the capacity. Sal knows how to run a board and make it successful, as far as I can tell, everything you guys have done make no difference, the board is actually more dead than usual these days.

Show some initiative, even if Sal 'doesn't want to be admin', he clearly has to accept if you just admin him and tell him, DO SOME WORK, BITCH. Jitz could also do a shitload for this board, but I think even he has lost hope. I've always wondered why it was HB and Aero the new admins and not Sal and Jitz; I guess life works is weird ways.

Whatever though, the board's almost dead. We're still focusing on the smackdown series, and half of us don't even play it anymore. Can't we accept the game is shit, let's move onto bigger things. Expand ourselves, we have a bunch of intelligent guys here who can make things work well if there was anything to work on. But no, we're working hard to get the wii codes up with my gamertag. Oh and motm, when there's only like, 5 guys to pick from at most.

Aero, resize that annoying sig, or at least fix the horrible shadowing.

I can't even understand why I'm still mod, when was the last time I did anything? You should just give me that power to edit posts without having to show that I've edited. That's all I care about. Give the 'Regulars' some power, let them warn people, cuz it don't do fuck all anyway. Let them have the invisible edit thing, or something.

Clean up the board, think bigger, having a snazzy skin ain't gonna attract anyone. Make media and a lot more games in general a bigger focal point. It's like talking to brick walls, what happens to you guys when you get made admin, seriously? HB used to have amazing ideas, but now it's come down to this bullshit.

Work it out, lads. We have a shitload of members, they all signed up expecting a lot more than they are being delivered, why haven't any of you gathered that?

I've often wondered the same thing. Why did I get adminned instead of people like Sal or Jitz. Hell, I've even contemplated leaving my admin spot. But I honestly felt like I had something to prove. That I could actually do something with this board. You will never begin to understand the little power I have. I could barely change a banner. I can't add a skin without Paul approving it. I can't edit the main website because I don't have access. Yet people like 'crunk' and Matt, who rarely visit this board have more powers to change the face of this entire website. Yet, nothing happens. They don't appear. Supa adds his two cents here and there. Paul promises us a front page to the website, yet he doesn't come through. If I knew that this was the powers I was going to get when I became admin, I wouldn't have taken it. They should've made me Global Moderator. They really should've. Because that's basically what I am. And that's basically what I've done.

New ideas come and go. We've honestly focussed on the wrong things. I won't lie. I'll take full blame for it. The website is so slow at the moment, it's almost disheartening. I go to this board, and I literally get depressed.

its mots' decision who admins and all that - not hb and aero's. so if he doesnt want me in charge, so be it. im not gonna bitch about it and im sure as shit not gonna beg for it either. ive begun to contribute and will do what i can as i learn more about ipb.

the most important thing right now is that we have 2 admins who are here regularly, even if they have half-assed powers. inexperience isnt a big deal when there are people here who can help point them in the right direction by either feeding them ideas, or helping them learn more about the admin cpanel.

we've been here for years. we know what has to be done and through hb and aero is pretty much the only way to do it.
