ok so my TV should be delivered today

but dilemma

I have to hand in a project today and theyve not given me a definite time that the delivery guy is coming. Im going to go risk popping in to uni for 30 minutes;

WILL I MAKE IT?? ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

I will update this post with tales of my TV when I can. It is 43 inches of fury.

I really fucking hate delivery people.

It wouldn't suprise me if;

1. You return home to find a piece of card on your floor saying they "attempted" to deliver.

2. You return home to find no piece of card, and they don't turn up at all.

3. They actually deliver it to your neighbur, who decides to keep it.

4. They deliver at the exact time you decide to take a shit.

... the list is endless. fuck deliveries.

the term is only 7 weeks this time round so I can be a bit more flippant. Besides, it cost a lot less than youd think (and its not HD.)

WELL. The guy was really good actually - too good. I popped in to uni to drop off my work at 10.30 am... of course as soon as ive collected my prints from the print shop and gone to uni, he calls me up and says hes coming round now. I ditch my work, went back home and then he came.

I had to move it on to the stand by myself which was a feat of egyptian-style engineering; fact. It is the absolute tits for resident evil games and films, but not so good for Wind Waker. Given that its a rear-projection TV, its not handling excessive bright, almost white colours, too well, and they bleed often in Wind Waker, but it looks great when youre inside.

I will take PIX as soon as I get my camera working, though that fuckers playing up so itll likely by off my phone which is wank.

Now I have to explain to my girlfriend why theres a 43 inch TV in the lounge now, as opposed to the normal TV we had this morning when she left.

Blame the A/V nymphs. My mate down the road has a TV that sounds pretty similar (rear projection issues and all). He works at GAME and they were getting rid of it so he got it for under

Given that its a rear-projection TV, its not handling excessive bright, almost white colours, too well, and they bleed often in Wind Waker, but it looks great when youre inside.

The standard composite cables will do that, hook yourself up with some GameCube component cables and you'll see a huge difference.

though i dont think I ended up doing that it did spur me on. I swapped from using composite cables to the s-video cable input I got with my cube... fuck its much better. Games now SLAY on this, but my housemates are addicted to Donkey Konga so I never get to go on my cube any more.
