Jonny Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I havn't composed any music for over two years. This is quite rough and doesn't have a beat in it yet, but critique would be apreciated. http://media.putfile.com/RoughSong2 Spot the Chrono Trigger and MGS parts. Quote

I get the point. I also get the point that you want in Jeff Hardy so bad, you dress up like him then wank off to your own asshole. Quote

My question was directed at Thom. I ignored your reply. Quote
Nemo Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 if you were trying to make annoying japanese video game/anime theme music, then good job. if you were trying to make something that doesnt punish the ears, you failed miserably. Quote
jitz Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I'm sorry, I laughed at parts of it, and there aren't any funny lyrics. I would suggest leaving the video game themes and venturing into...anything else really, country remixes maybe? Quote
Chillalex Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 perhaps a few too many themes and its a little undecided in where it wants to go ps when you said music production i was expecting a thread on mastering Quote
epleboy Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 What software did you create this with? I'll agree with Alex in saying that it's a little undecided where it wants to go. Quote
Jonny Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 I used FL Studio XXL. Yeah, it's the first thing I've made in over two years, so ofcourse it's pretty all over the place. That was basically made so I could get the feel of it again. Quote

That was basically made so I could get the feel of it again. damn i hated FL. Cant remember the version I was using but it was fairly recent, and that program is spazzed up no end. It was retardedly difficult to change time signature or tempo, pretty sure it was tempo, and fuck, thats almost a necessity in music. RETARDED PROGRAM. Ever used sibelius? My girlfriend got me in to it and its pretty elite, but hard to get in to (im having a shit tonne of problems right now but it sounds well professional, if you pirate the right things.) Quote
Jonny Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Yeah, FL is pretty clunky. I figured I couldn't get back into Reason and Cubase right away. Sibelius seems like a pretty good program. Although, I'm not that good with writing or reading score sheets. I might considder it at some stage. Quote
Thom Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Ever used Audiomulch? I could do with some tutuorials in it. The Don, I might have a mix you'd appreciate... ...Later! Quote
Jonny Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Audiomulch, yeah, I've read some reviews on it. I wasn't too keen with it, it seems kind of like FL Studio, with a plain looking GUI. Quote
CanaMatt Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 oh fuck, and we know what you think of plain things... Quote
Jonny Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Oh shut up. I don't dislike it because of the simple GUI. Quote
